Canada: Destroys Its Young People's Future

Young Canadians today face substantial economic challenges compared to their parents (who were in their 20s during the 2000s) and grandparents (who were in their 20s during the 1980s).

Skyrocketing house prices and rents, stagnant wages, high university fees, and fewer job opportunities have created a tough financial landscape for the younger generation.

In contrast, when parents and grandparents were in their 20s (1980s & 2000s), they enjoyed affordable housing costs, higher inflation-adjusted incomes, cheaper university fees, and a lower cost of living.

For decades, government policies have facilitated a transfer of wealth from the young to the old, exacerbated by an aging population, low productivity, and a property-led economy.

Young Canadians earn significantly less than their counterparts in the UK.

During Justin Trudeau's term since 2015, Canada's government debt has reached its highest level in history, placing an additional burden on the young and future generations.

What are the solutions?
