Jim Clark!
Jim Clark's talent was discovered by Lotus founder Colin Chapman, and he quickly dominated the Grand Prix. Jim's speed was truly impressive, as he built up a mountain of pole positions and fastest laps, and he was undoubtedly the fastest F1 driver in the 1960s. However, the Grand Prix at that time was harsh, with no seat belts in the cars and few guardrails or run-off areas on the course. Jim experienced many hardships. The 1960 Belgian Grand Prix, where he lost his teammate, the 1961 Italian Grand Prix, where his own driving caused the deaths of many spectators... and finally, in 1968, he was involved in a major accident that claimed his own life.
