Video info:

The Culling Game was an event designed by Kenjaku, where over a thousand sorcerers were forced to fight each other to the death. Across Japan he set up 10 gigantic barriers also referred to as colonies and inside players would gain 5 points for killing a sorcerer and 1 point for killing a regular person. To make sure his game had enough players Kenjaku did two things, first he altered the brains of people like Higuruma, allowing them to awaken their cursed techniques. Next he resurrected over a thousand sorcerers from the past and these were all people who died hundreds of years ago. By using Mahito’s technique, Kenjaku set things up so that all of these ancient sorcerers, woke up inside the bodies of modern day humans. The Culling Games itself began shortly after and today we’re ranking every sorcerer who was reincarnated on this day. Alright starting off with the top two, we have a pair of sorcerers who’ve never met but were alive during the same period of history. Around 400 years ago Ryu Ishiguro became famous for having the biggest ever output of cursed energy and what this means is that he released a blast of cursed energy larger than anything seen from Sukuna or the big clans. This caught the attention of Kenjaku, who proceeded to tell the news to an old man named Hajime Kashimo. Technically speaking Kashimo isn’t his real name but it’s what we call him cause it’s the name of the modern day human who’s body he stole. This is true for all of the reincarnated sorcerers we just don’t know their real names, with only a couple of exceptions. Anyway 400 years ago Kashimo lived his whole life being the strongest and although that sounds like a good thing it actually made him miserable. Because he was so strong Kashimo never felt challenged by his opponents and therefore never got any satisfaction. In his words he saw other people as insignificant, which made it hard to form relationships. This lead to him feeling lonely his whole life, and by the time Ishigori came around, Kashimo was old and dying from an unknown illness. That’s why their matchup never happened but if Hajime was younger then he definitely would’ve travelled to fight Ryu. Now before I say who I ranked as number 1 I’m gonna explain the argument for both sides and then I want you to let me know in the comments who you think deserves the top spot. If we start things off with Ishigori he was introduced as the player with the highest cursed energy output and after 12 days he had an impressive 77 points. The problem for Ryu is that his colony was the hardest one to be in, cause he had to compete with 2 special grade sorcerers, a special grade curse, as well as a skilled grade 1 sorcerer. This meant there were genuine threats all around him, so he couldn’t move as freely as people in other colonies. Despite that Ishigori still achieved one of the best scores and showed off his skills in the fight against Yuta. The name of his technique is Cursed Energy discharge and as the name suggests it allows him to fire off blasts of raw cursed energy. What’s interesting is that in theory any sorcerer can do this, I mean we saw Gojo briefly do it in season 1 and obviously Yuta did it in JJK0 so what exactly makes Ryu special?
