The place was a 2-hour drive one way, so we left early in the morning, and Omochi-kun fell asleep in the car early on.
He woke up and looked around like, "Huh? Was I in the car?" His expression changed all the time, which was adorable 🤭 (and my mother kept dubbing it without my permission)
Thanks to him sleeping in the car, he was able to stay healthy throughout the event 🫶

We finally made "Pachi Pachi," but in fact we had been seeing glimpses of it for months (when an adult holds both hands and makes him clap his hands, he opens them properly, etc.)

Omochi-kun (fetal name → nickname), born in January 2023, was born with a deformity in his face and skull.

About his face
・Missing upper and lower eyelids
・Eyes far apart and low-set
・Ears small, low-set, rotated backwards

About his skull
・Missing bones from the top of his head to his forehead
・Missing bones around his eyes and cheekbones
・Small lower jaw
・Short nasal bone

Due to his small lower jaw, he had difficulty breathing spontaneously, and underwent a tracheotomy on the day of his birth.
He also has a weak ability to swallow, so he receives nutrition through a gastrostomy tube.

Because there is no bone in his forehead, it feels squishy to the touch.
Because there is no bone around his eyes, his eyeballs are deep inside. I'm sinking into a deep depression.

No one knows how he will grow in the future, not even the doctors, but

Omochi-kun lives his life to the fullest and shows us all different sides, and we love him so much.

We live as a family of three, savoring every moment of happiness.

I think that getting as many people as possible to know about him will lead to a future where Omochi-kun, and by extension, various children who require medical care, can live a little easier.
