In this short, you play as a killer clown named John Wade who lives in the Happyhills. This is the final chapter and Tape 20 called 'Meet Your Maker' of the Happyhills Homicide game

In this short we see John Wade living in his old burnt down school where he worked as a janitor. He is reading the newspaper of all the stories that are being written about him. But he's interrupted by a gunshot from another part of the school. Jumping to action, the killer clown grabs beartraps and lays them down for the intruder.

We flashback to 5 minutes ago where Bryan Pawalski, the detective, shoots the school's gate lock and makes his way into the premises. It's here that he has to dodge the beartraps laid down for him before finding John Wade's room where there is a photo of Madison and tapes of all the kills he's done over the past year.

Following John through the vent, Bryan now has to fend off the killer clown with his fun. Coming at Pawalski with the sledgehammer, every shot from the detective makes the clown run the other way. Until finally the last shot is fired and the killer clown is down and out.

We're now outside the school with the detective talking to the FBI agent. It's here that the FBI agent informs Bryan Pawalaski that the body of John Wade was never found. We then cut up to the school window and see the pale grin looking through the boarded up window. John Wade is alive and he slips back into the darkness for a possible sequel!

John Wade, also known as The Pale Grin, is the titular villainous protagonist of The Happyhills Homicide horror video game as well as antagonist in Detective Bryan Pawalksi's point of view. He is a serial killer who is setting out revenge upon all of those who harmed him in the past.

The Happyhills Homicide is made by Copperbolt and is available for free download at Gamejolt. The Happyhills Homicide is a PC game created by Copperbolt, released in November of 2022.

In the game, you play as the masked serial killer protagonist (and antagonist), John Wade.
