Peter Trott a Senior FAE at Microchip talked about the PolarFire FPGA by MicroSemi which is flash based, instant on and very low power. Up to 30-50% less power than SRAM based FPGA, maths blocks are very configurable to do 8-bit operations which are concise but with no loss of accuracy. This means you can get more performance than competing architectures.
Microchip and their partner can offer a full AI solution as they have interfacing, networking, timing, sensors, power supply devices as well as the processor.
To have a demonstration of deep learning on MicroSemi’s PolarFire, or the Future Avalanche board, contact Future Electronics at: High-End-EMEA@FutureElectronics.com to arrange an appointment.
