Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso seek to boost cooperation • FRANCE 24 English

The Burkinabe leader had a red-carpet welcome, as he joined his counterparts from Niger and Mali for a joint summit. It's the first time the three junta leaders are convening talks as an alliance of Sahel states, a new regional bloc aimed at reconciling a divided West Africa. On the agenda: fighting terrorism and finding ways to boost cooperation. FRANCE 24's Jennie Shin has more in this report.
