I love how this song differs from her "usual" style of music. Every song is different but this one is beyond. It signifies experimentation, could she be branching out to different music styles? Whether this is just a one-off style or more could be expected in the future, I am excited for what is to come. I love how she portrays the different personalities and versions of yourself that are brought out when romantically interested in another person. It is like an internal battle within yourself and she nailed that feeling spot on.
lexie deserves a lot of recognition in the music industry, her songs are unique and deserve the world
genuinely there isn't a single song of hers that i don't like, she's so versatile and talented
Listening on repeat, I swear it's playing in my head at night as well. There's always a distinct atmosphere with each song Lexie brings and it never feels recycled. It feels as if someone tried to hold your eyes and silently transferred their screaming emotions and ever thoughts to your brain and watched them unfold and expand until you couldn't stand it. Not sure how else I can explain it.
THIS IS INSANE 😭 THE WAY I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS COMEBACK AND YOU JUST ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS! TYSM LEXIE, YOU’RE A REAL ARTIST!!
Lexie wouldn't stop surprising me with how good her music is and how amazing her mv turn out. Like, be srs, you shoot an mv with an Iphone?! crazy.
This is the 1st artist in a long time that I love every song of, not just like.
The credits are pretty great. Shot with an iPhone, one director instead of a dozen. This is the future.
Untouchable. There is not a single singer/songwriter in the world right now that can match this young lady for talent. Te queremos un montón 刘柏辛 ❤
Here is my interpretation of the video. If you have any additions please comment! Lexie is clearly fighting with herself over the idea of a boy in their life. A real or delusional relationship, she leaves it up to us to decide. I believe each of the outfits Lexie is wearing symbolizes a different emotion inside her head. The Lexie with the glasses and black dress symbolizes her anger and maybe her uncaring side. This is showcased by her crossed arms and when she throws the phone through the wall. This version of Lexie is done with the boy and wants him gone. 1:40 The Lexie with the polka dot dress and party hat symbolizes the anxiety she has. This boy is bringing out all of her anxious emotions and is symbolized through her shaking at the table, sitting in the corner, and banging on the table. Eventually, both her anger and anxiety team up to rid themselves of this boy which is symbolized by her throwing the phone through the wall. 1:42 Unfortunately for Lexie, this is not the end of her obsession with this boy. As she throws the phone through the wall to rid herself of the boy, another emotion of hers picks up the phone. This emotion could be several things, curiosity? Obsession? Regardless, this emotion of hers is like a detective and reignites her interest in this boy. What is he doing? Why won’t he answer her calls? 1:48 We then see constant flashes between each of the lexies different outfits. Symbolizing her return to “delusion”, her emotions fighting to take control. In some of the final scenes we see her trapped inside a small house. I see this as potentially several things. she is trapped in her delusional relationship with this boy and she cannot leave. It could possibly also showcase how she is waiting for him to “return back home” or to call her back. 2:08 Eventually, we see the house on fire which symbolizes maybe her finally giving up on the relationship. Maybe the boy has ended any hope there was for the relationship to continue. Though, Lexie comes running onto the scene in a wedding headdress and a fire extinguisher ready to put out the fire and reclaim this delusional relationship. The wedding dress symbolizes how she had maybe been married to this boy in her head. Or maybe the boy had promised to marry her or even suggested it to her. Either way, she tries to save this relationship once more before Finally changing emotions again and calmly walking off set. 2:23 In the final scene she has walked off the screen only to come frantically running back once again trying to save the delusion she has created. 2:43

Some of my observations and a bit of interpretation: 0:23 Lexie is in her own miniature house, and when she puts on her party hat, ppl laugh at her but she doesn’t seem mind. I think this symbolizes her being in her own little world where she’s happy with herself but others don’t understand her. 1:24 in contrast to Party Hat Lexie, glasses Lexie seems to have a more calculated and cool character. They seem to be in a disagreement over who gets to use the telephone, which ends with Glasses Lexie throwing the telephone out the wall. I think this is a representation of inner conflict between one’s emotional and logical self. 1:29 meanwhile, Brown Lexie goes wild in a padded room. I think this represents how we feel when we’re caught up in our own inner conflict, we feel anxious about things we don’t understand in a relationship but we lock our feelings up cuz we’re also unsure about what’s real and what’s not. 1:52 Glasses Lexie and Part Hat Lexie eavesdrop the Lexie one the other side of the wall who’s on the telephone. This Lexie is wearing the Party Hat Lexie’s white dress and Glasses Lexie’s black blouse and she reads through some documents in confusion. I think Black-white Lexie represents one’s outer self, the self we use to interact with others, and we can at times not understand the signs other ppl show us. 1:59 Cardigan Lexie sits down to read the documents. Momentarily, the scenes flash to Glasses Lexie on the telephone and Party Hat Lexie crawling under the table, which sync with Cardigan Lexie’s movement. The difference is that Cardigan Lexie doesn’t actually have a telephone and isn’t actually crawling under a table, and when she pretends to strike a match on her hand, the candles of the delulu cake in front of Party Hat Lexie are lit. I think Cardigan Lexie symbolizes how delusional thoughts form: our logical and emotional selves merge in a way to allow our logical side to translate signs that feed into our emotional side. 2:08 but at the same time, White Tee Lexie lays in the miniature house and is trying to push out. It is quite apparent that the house is too small for her. I think this represents the part of ourselves who realizes that we’ve overgrown the little world we had created, or that this little world is not meant to be our reality. 2:25 Party Hat Lexie blows out the candles quite forcefully and starts washing the dishes. In another scene the miniature house is in a blaze. Veil Lexie uses a fire extinguisher to put the blaze out and slayfully walks away. Her walk is confident, she wears red, and the veil is lifted away from her face. I think this means that when we wake up from our delusions, we take back control of our lives, even though the flame relights at the very end, at least we can take responsibility and rush back to handle it again. Perhaps the wedding veil even means that we can be more confident and expressive when loving ourselves or others. I also think the act of Party Hat Lexie blowing out the candles shows how delusions are not actually what our emotional selves need. However, at 2:30 and actually also at the start 0:45 washed dishes can already be seen next to the sink. I think this suggests that Party Hat Lexie has actually already blown out other delulu cakes before, that we’re never truly free from the delusions we create for ourselves. This also makes me wonder if Party Hat Lexie has eaten the cakes too. Adding to that, at 0:56 the MV can be seen being projected onto the wall behind Singing Lexie and she’s wearing the red shoes Veil Lexie has as well as the glasses Glasses Lexie has. To me, Singing Lexie is a part of ourselves who has the capability to be rational and responsible but chooses to watch things play out instead. Bringing everything together, I think the house represents one’s self as a whole, while the different Lexies represent the different aspects in one’s character. All these Lexies are in the same house but view the rooms differently. The last Lexie, Veil Lexie, is also part of the house, but she is outside the house and can view it objectively and take actions on it. Another detail that I’ve noticed but can’t quite understand yet: the painting of apples 0:33 , the plate of peaches 0:44 (I think those r apples and peaches lol), and the painting of onions 1:45. I guess onions can symbolize one’s multilayered characters, but I’m not quite sure abt the other fruits. Please let me know your thoughts!! If you’ve read all of this, thanks haha, let me know what you think and what this MV means to you. And to Lexie: girlllll keep slaying!!! 愛你!!!!!! 小姐姐pout的樣子好可愛wwwwww <33
