You never even watched fish hooks, and it shows.
The ducks (breadwinners) were no where near a copycat
TBH, Coconut Fred was the only one who was genuinely attempting to be SpongeBob. Bunsen is a Beast focused more on monsters, friendship, and inclusion, Fish Hooks had a weird high school vibe, and Breadwinners seemed more like a shell of Teen Titans GO! than SpongeBob. It's such a shallow view to assume that a show is a SpongeBob ripoff just because it's loud or goofy.
the correlation between fish hooks and spongebob feels like a bit of a stretch. I really don't see the connection at all
Nothing will come even close to Spongebob's success
13:47: To be fair, Stephen Hillenburg didn't explicitly say he hate's spinoffs; rather, he said he doesn't see a reason to have one. Perhaps he wouldn't mind the idea that much, if it weren't for two things: 1. Timeline Inconsistency (Example: What I can accept is that in "Tea at the Treedome", SpongeBob did say that he recalled seeing a Land Squirrel before in his life; we just didn't expect that SpongeBob forgot it was the same squirrel. What I don't accept is that Plankton is younger in Camp Coral, and that the Krabby Patty Recipe wasn't created prior to the Krusty Krab's Grand Opening... nor do I want to think of Sandy sending her past self to destroy the evidence and preventing a time paradox!) 2. Corporate Greed (These shows are blatantly made to give no fucks about it's own writing or continuity. SpongeBob, at least Seasons 1-9, because I don't care much about the show afterwards, felt like a proper show, despite some of the glaring issues after Hillenburg's departure prior to Sponge Out of Water. After Sponge Out of Water, though, the show lost it's soul.)
Idc what you say. Breadwinners is a classic. That, along with Fairly Odd Parents, Sanjay and Craig and Spongebob were why i watched nickelodeon as a kid
Bunsen is a beast was created by the guy who created fairy odd parents
2005 was NOT the golden age of spongebob After the 2004 movie, it should have been a wrap for the show
If you give Coconut Fred a chance and not compare it to SpongeBob, it's a decent show with some good moments to it.
That is one of the biggest misconceptions about the spinoffs of SpongeBob at 14:12, Hillenburg didn't hate them, but were interested in what they were, since he worked in Kamp Koral. Breadwinners, Coconut Fred, and Fish Hooks were the only shows that aren't inherently a rip-off of SpongeBob, that's for sure.
14:12 I don’t where you got this from BUT YOU ARE WRONG, all Stephen said was that he didn’t see SpongeBob having any spinoff shows, THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE SAID HE HATED SPINOFFS. And you know what makes my case stronger he LITERALLY approved and WORKED on Kamp Koral before he died. People need to stop using a dead man’s nonexistent words to justify their hatred for the modern and spinoff shows of SpongeBob
“Mom can we have SpongeBob” “no we have SpongeBob at home” SpongeBob at home:
Kid Danger: wearing his mighty pup movie outfit after like 3 seasons, Danny Phantom was canceled and also Rise of the tmnt too.
"Often imitated, never duplicated."
Please know that Steven never hated spin offs and only said he didint see them happening and he not only worked on camp koral but also the third movie
leave breadwinners alone. thats my goat you're talking about😭
'A goofy cartoon' SPONGEBOB CLONE
Breadwinners wasn't even supposed to have multiple episodes, only the pilot. The creators said so, but Nickelodeon decided to make it a series anyways despite the original creators' choice.
