I am Canadian, Turkey has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning and help liberate Syria from Russian. I believe that Erdogan want Ukraine to get their Land back including Crimea. Canada and Turkey is a good alliance

Crimea and other lands will be saved from Russia. Crimea was a kingdom under Ottoman Empire for centuries. Crimea had its own kingdom, till it was brutally invaded by Russia. Turkey wants Crimea to be part of Ukraine, most likely with an autonomy. Millions of Crimean Tatars in Turkey and in around the world will migrate to their mother land Crimea. Russia made genocides on Crimeans many times through out the centuries. Enough is enough!

This may not be Rubio's or Trump's view of a Multipolar World. It may be an new era where Europe no longer takes the lead from the US in affairs like this which affect the European Union. Canada has a strategic position in the North Atlantic trade routes if that evolves. It is also nice seeing Turkey playing a leadership role as a member of Nato and who controls the access from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean (the Southern Flank).
