Chinese language proficiency: 1/10
Confidence: 10/10

@Boomersdth

You had me in very impressed with you speaking Chinese until The cab driver couldn't understand you

@anuragsub

It'd be neat if you add little bits of maps when you travel across provinces or when you talk about places bald

@filipkavan

I liked this journey, this mission for content. I really like your videos! This video dug a little deeper than usual, but people need to see that there is a lot of work behind the amazing context. But this is why I came here! I really like your videos. Good job, keep it up!

@insistance1000

the intention of the lady who took you to the city center in Dunhuang, is to give you a free lift to the city center, free of charge, then you can have a shorter journey(save a few quids) to where you need around the city center.

@BeerdyBruceLeeCentral

He's even wearing a Polo Ralph Lauren shirt in honor of Marco Polo. What a lad.

@shanghaiffgg

shouting "jule, jule" at the woman near the Tibetan temple I nearly died laughing. "Jule" in mandarin means the pig fat near the rib cage. Yelling "ni hao jule, jule" he was literal yelling "hello pig fat, pig fat" at that poor woman. Little wonder she was desperate to get away lol.

@HistoryTime

Has to be the best ad read I've ever seen

@dudevinci

This man has such absurd level of charisma. Doesn't even speak the language ,but still makes friends with the whole train.

@fanye5849

The woman means that she also wanted to take a taxi to downtown Dunhuang. The train station might be far from downtown, so you can take her ride without paying, and then you can find a hotel nearby.

@cabelodefogouk

Bald, i’m not sure whether someone has already pointed this out yet (don’t shoot the messenger) but at 36:47 the old lady says to the kid, “say hello to grandpa!” when you started talking to him 🤣 dying…

@Nikko3001

I just came back from China a few days ago and it's something magical. I also took a few tips from how you travel and it did so well and got me to a few awesome places. Thank you, Bald!

@pajeet69

1000 times better than India.

@jameslefley

Ben, I've wanted to contact you for a while but don't know how. I want to thank you. Recently I've travelled to Cambodia and Vietnam, and watching your videos over the past couple of years was a huge help for me. The way you're so outgoing talking to locals, just walking up and having a chat with a smile, it inspired me to do the same. Your content really helped me to be a lot more confident and outgoing, so I massively appreciate it.

@consume585

it's amazing how much you can communicate with only just 12 Chinese words Bald knows.

@dadventurer36

It’s crazy to see how much this channel has grown. I was taken aback just now when I looked at the subscribers. I was literally here from near the beginning. Absolutely deserved. Thoroughly fascinating adventures from the man himself mr bald

@Astrohhh

That ad read while riding those children rides was flawless hahaha. One of the only ad segments I actually watched through.

@qidiwang2795

She is an honest person, she bought a drink that she might not need from the shop so that she could have the change to give back to you.

@ItsAllGoodGames

I love the little historical tidbits scattered throughout the video and especially at the beginning, i think it elevates your travel videos above those that dont do it.
