These things are useless for most server purposes, before you get to have a 4-8x 2.5" or even better, 3.25" HDD connected to it. A good would 4 inside and then possible add a another block with 4 more. But this way one could get a 8/16 TB drives in, 2x2 RAID mode and so on 16 or 32 TB storage backed up. And have a another one elsewhere to clone data to it for safety reasons. For a normal family purposes, one needs to have 2x NvME drives in, even better if just really having the SATA connection for two 2.5" drives. Because you can always connect those easily with other means to laptop or other computer, that you can't do with NvME connectors.
