For hands movement, I would say you described it better in the Kipchoge video wherein we see that the runner actually focuses on the "sway" and not particularly on the elbow. I think once the sway is proper the relaxed hands can just follow the rest of the body without overthinking about the pronounced elbow back and forth motion. Right James?
