My imagination ran wild with this game as a kid from England. It made me fascinated with old buildings and ancient history. I'm from a sleepy medieval village and the church used to have a tomb that was accessible if you removed this huge stone lid. We never made it down there out of fear of what was down the tight, dark entrance even though we dragged the lid off several times. It's now properly covered up and completely inaccessible unless you literally smashed your way in. I still wonder what's down there.
I will never forget this game
This was the first "horror" game I played in my life, this game has a beautiful place in my heart to settle in.
This game scared the shit out of me as a kid
Medievil was my favourite game when I was a kid, along with the Tekken trilogy, Spyro and Crash Bandicoot. I really miss these games...so much creativity...
A list of Sir Daniel Fortesque’s weaknesses: 1. Arrows to the eye. 2. Water.
I finished this game about 5 times from 98-00. The artwork, imagination, the sounds, and the music was legendary. I look forward to downloading it again soon, and playing it for another 5 times! And yes I am an old gamer. 49+ :)
This game was way ahead of its time.
I'm so grateful that you posted this! My husband, who passed away a few years ago, used to play this and I loved to watch. This brings back many cherished memories, thank you ❤😘💜
I used to be scared of playing this game when I was little
I used to play the demo version that came with the game informer magazines.
God, has it been 20 years? Great game. The cut scenes were ahead of their time.
This holds 3 special moments in my heart for me, allow me to relive my nostalgia please. Only for a min. Played this as a kid, love it! But could never beat it. Was a cool, fun, goofy game. I then Played this in late 2009/10 when I brought it off the psn store and put it on my psp. I Played the psp version, medievil resurrected back in 2007, while that game was fun, the original imo, was better. I used to travel a hour to and from college, learning my fitness course (which I passed btw) playing this game. Mid winter, took my gloves off because my fingers kept slipping off the buttons haha. I remember other commuters watching me play on the train lol. Still never beat it then too! Finally, 2019, brought the steel book version of the remaster & absolutely loved it. Played it non stop for 2 weeks straight. Got the platinum trophy as well. Excellent remaster with the original game included, if you beat certain things in the late game to unlock it that is. Now in 2021, halloween is almost upon us, I'm 30 years old, no kids to worry about, no girlfriend to bother me, it's gonna be just me on Halloween and I'm gonna do a full playthrough of the ps1 medievil that is unlocked in the remaster. Gonna be fun ! Last thing to say, cmon guys, remaster the 2nd one, I've never played more than the demo level In the museum. We need more medievil in our lives ! Thanks for reading & coming down memory lane with me, take care whoever reads this lol
I can’t begin to explain just how much I loved this game when I was growing up!
Here because of the Remake. WHO ELSE IS READY TO RETURN TO GALLOWMERE!?
As a kid I watched my parents put in serious work on this game. Now as an adult this is all I play besides Risk of Rain on the Vita..
That moment when Sir Daniel Fortesque hits his head on something above him when he jumps. Clonk!
the shit we grew up with was truly amazing... we were really blessed, unlike the kids who are growing up with social media, i feel sorry for them.
I only had the demo of this game, and being able to see how it ends took me a really genuine smile of joy out of me, I love it! Beautiful ending!
