Love the in depth explanation. I’ve had a 4g64 and 4g63 both sitting in my garage for years now. Never gotten around to them but this is giving me some motivation to jump in and start tear down

@kiyabcs

I just bought a 97 talon tsi awd with 76,000 miles on it. I have been looking for one for 10 years that is in this kind of shape. Thank you for all of this information it really helps a lot for future build paths.

@marcodorado8305

Absolutely excellent information..best channel I've found for 4g64 info..I'm doing 4g64/63 head, small turbo for my 93 mighty max macro cab👍👍 I'm going for a show quality look on the entire build..

@jtamxgsx

Awesome video, brother! I have a spare 4g63 6 bolt block. I'm struggling between building a 2.3 or a 2.2 for my Galant VR4 (street use). My stock 2.0 is still healthy, so I still got some time to decide. Hehe

@1jzboi

currently about to build a 4g69 very excited

@jakester4810

Dude thank you for this video! Reading on dsm tuners only got me so far haha, and hearing it explained makes a lot more sense

@dannymurphy4292

This hit home I'm getting a 99 eclips w/4g64 block, 4g63T head and destroking it to 2.2

@rondulonca

i have a 2004 eclipse gs n im so building the engine after seeing this

@whoismario

Thanks for all the details. I was hoping to upgrade my bottom end on my 6bolt but time and budget left me stock with fresh rings and rod bearings. I was looking for 2g pistons but couldn’t any at a reasonable price. Cool that the 7bolt has so many options.

@MPRPETE

Whole lotta DSM knowledge in the comments thanks for sharing and commenting

Great info 👍

@kevin-jm3qb

my dream car

@daniel2064

2.2 l with the 94mm crank is all the rage these days.

@KevinBuckham1

I used a Hyundai G4CS 6 bolt 2.4 block with a ported 2G head. Several of us built these years ago and they held up well. I didnt add oil squirters in my block either.

@Achillessoul

2:34 Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the engine in a neon srt4 is a 4g64 which I know for a fact has oil squirts so I would say some 4g64 come with oil spuirters

@marcodorado8305

My plan is to out do the MIGHTYLO truck I customization 🙏🙏👌👌👍👍

@MrVideoDre

What is the combustion chamber size of the 4g63 head vs 4g64 head? Btw your video has a lot of great info, thx!

@randoawesomemix9501

The 4G64 has a factory forged crank. English racing offers built long blocks and short blocks with factory forged 4G64 cranks in them.

@DJ_Driven

Curious, if Mitsubishi stuck with the balanced shaft setup or omitted that with the 4G64?

@CryptToneMusic

Does anyone do N/A 4G63 builds? Maybe even N/A stroker builds? I know it won't compete with a turbo engine or be as cost effective but it seems like fun for some reason, just as challenge
