It's a horrible time to buy a GPU :(
I’m honestly impressed how you manage to maintain an optimistically wholesome but practical vibe in the face of the absolutely awful state of the pc hardware industry/market right now. Great vid btw!
Exactly 2 years ago I build my current PC and used many of your video's for guidance, especially since I wasn't up to date after 2012 (which was my previous PC build). It helps alot how you explain everything, especially video's like this to get up to date and/or learn the basics of PC building. Thanks for your great content 😀
i build my pc back in November 2024 with the help of your "How to-" 2023 video, its really nice that you made a 2025 version, love your videos Jason
Yes, new video!! I'm upgrading from my 2019 build and have purchased everything except the new GPU and PSU thanks to your recommendations! Will gladly wait for the GPU non-sense to chill out before upgrading those last two components!
I was thinking about upgrading but GPU prices have gone out of control. My RX 580, RX 6700XT, and RX 6800 all cost more than what I paid for them new, years ago.
I really appreciate you telling us to get a graphic card now vs waiting. I got my 7900xt for 620 and i am now seeing i am very lucky i did. Keep up the great work!
I recently built a PC all thanks to this channel thank you for all you do👍
This is hands-down one of the clearest PC build guides I've seen for 2025! The part explanations were super helpful, especially for beginners trying to build confidently. Loved the balance of performance and value—great job!
Guess we're back to the Newegg Shuffle again. :_Cat: I'm completely unwilling to pay overinflated prices again, been there, done that. I'll just stay with my 7900 XTX for as long as I can.
Excellent overview. I used to build multiple PCs per year 2002 to 2015 for myself and various family members; however, my most recent PC (an Intel i5-6600K w/Nvidia GTX 1070 built in 2016) has continued to meet my gaming needs until recently. Well, it finally "met its match" with Marvel Rivals, so it is now time to build or buy a new machine. After spending the day researching, all I can say is, Wow, things sure have changed over the past 9 years! This video has provided all the information I'll need to make informed decisions regarding the components I'll be considering for my next machine. Thanks!
wanting to build a new pc after building my current one 5 years ago, completely forgotten everything so this vid has been super helpful ty
This might be one of the most informative videos I’ve ever seen on the subject. Thank you so much for this content.
Really glad I managed to do my build during black friday considering how bad GPU prices have gotten! Really wish I could have waited for RTX 5000 and RX 9000 but considering prices and availability, a 7900XT in my hand is worth two 9070s in the bush, or however that goes.
Gosh I’m glad I built my PC when I did. GPU’s prices are crazy right now.
Ill upgrade in a few months if prices settle. But frankly with many games being so unoptimized for years it won’t help me that much from where I’m at already. But every 5 years i do it. So yah.
Currently on a i7 9600K with a 2080 Super with a 1440p LED monitor. I'm definitely feeling the pain when trying to go with higher settings in modern games and usually have to keep things down to a low-medium settings to keep it chugging at or above 60 fps. Going to try to stretch out the build for another generation if the 9070XT doesn't come in at a competitive price ($600 or less would be incentive enough). Wished this Nvidia Generation was a bit more exciting, I was looking forward to upgrading to an --80 class card again :(
About a year and a half ago, did my latest build. Because AM4 was cheap. So B550 Asus Tuf MB, Ryzen 5 5600, RX 7600, CM H500 ARGB case, Peerless assassin twin tower CPU cooler, Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850w 80+Gold modular PSU (A tier), 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX, and 1Tb Samsung Pro NVME. Mass storage 2Tb Seagate hybrid drive left over from previous build. All quality components, but no overspending, bang for buck. Black Friday or Boxing Day buys.
Finished my new build recently. Thermaltake ceres 300 tg plus case with an extra 140mm noctua fan for bottom intake Rog strix b650e-f motherboard 9800x3d cpu 280 arctic freezer 3 aio cooler 7900 xtx nitro+ gpu 32gb 6000mhz ddr5 ram 2- 2tb gen 4 ssd's 1000w msi a1000g psu Was hoping to get a 5080 but settled for the xtx given the market atm. Sold my old system for almost as much as I spent to build it so I guess there are benefits to this crazy market.
