1) Jump Mechanics (Wo long: fallen dynasty) 2) Living Weapon (Nioh 1) + Shiftling (Nioh 2) 3) Style Shift - same as changing your main weapon only difference is that your not only changing your weapon but also you armor and loadout including guardian spirt. 4) Open world (more like Semi-open world) 5) Nioh 1 & 2 are my favorite games and I'm really excited about Nioh 3.

Said this from day 1, an open world Nioh is a day 1 pre order no brainer for me as long as they keep to their roots. Absolutely cannot wait!

This is absolutely gorgeous. They improve something already exceptionnal instead of building another game from scratch, which would make it way harder in order to reach that level of gameplay perfection. The ninja style and semi open world are the most perfect addings to the formula.

Dang, was kinda hoping they'd build upon the shiftling concept. DotW shift was more build specific to make shifting useful but doing that first playthrough and using it as a clutch extra health bar was fun.

So far I am a huge fan of every new mechanic they have introduced in Nioh 3.....except for the changes to omnyo. Its weird your omnyo spells are now determined by Soul Cores now instead of setting it up like ninjutsu. Its still early in the game so we'll see if it wins me over by the end

So Ninjutsu is now it's own thing in Ninja mode. That potentially opens up a lot more stuff to do with Onmyōdō sorcery.

The good: New game in the series. Lots of returning and refined mechanics. Excellent animation and designs as always. The bad: No Onmyo skill tree (but Magic and Intellect are still stats so maybe they'll still be there), apparently less weapons too.

Okay, all the confirmed yokai so far are the Gaki, Gaki Chief, Jailer Oni, Wasp, Nozuchi, Shunobon, Kappa, Yamabiko, Yama Inu, Wheel Monk, Onibi, Skeletons, Umi Bozu, Sand Hag, Old Snake woman, Scampuss, Chijiko,; and that long neck monk, I’m assuming is Mikushi Nyudo.
