It just feels like there's actually 500 people but jimmy breast inflated the numbers to a thousand and maybe only less than 200 are actual contestants and the rest are just paid extras that are hired to take the dive. Even if the contestants are less than 200 it's still a difficult undertaking. Takeshi's Castle at most is 100 people and they are eliminated based on skill, endurance and luck

Mr. Beast just came to Yucatán to do some video on mayan archaological cities, specialy Chichen Itza and Calakmul, and got himself in a lot a heat with the National Institute of Antropology and History because he got his bribed permits fron the Secretaria de Turismo and got into areas that are close to the public because of safety or are under research proyects.
