@IamDaria

Hello friends,

I wanted to make a video about being a low-energy person for a while, but I feel like I can’t always carry my thought across too well. I’ve always known I’ve been a lower energy person, but so happened in life that I haven’t really had a chance to embrace it. I think being very active, hustling, social has become my coping mechanism, basically making it impossible to be with myself fully, process my thoughts and strive in this fabricated personality that I had, when I was younger. I won’t go into detail here, but I did come to conclusion that part of that personality has been a sort of trauma response.
I was afraid of being undeserving, thinking that if I hustle more, that will somehow make me “enough”. I was always (and still sometimes am) afraid to come off as “lazy”, “unmotivated”, “unsuccessful”, and I did everything I could to not seem that way, burning out in my mid 20s. Which in turn led me here, where I am right now.
I learned that being naturally calm & low energy isn’t bad. It doesn’t mean “unproductive”, “lazy”, “unmotivated”. In fact, it still takes me exactly same amount of time to do things I want, but.. without burning out. I’m still often busy. I still want many things too. Life is still fast quite often. But I give myself time when I need it. And come back stronger after I had time to take care of myself. I learned to appreciate my low energy personality and days when I want to just exist, as that is my body’s way of telling me to slow down. Sometimes we all need it.

Are you a naturally low or high energy person? I'm curious to know your opinion on this!

@jess53nz

I think this is one on my absolute favourites of your videos! I could be biased by loving gardening and cats🐈‍⬛. 😂
Can't wait to see that rose in summer! 🌹

I was born with juvenile arthritis and asthma, so I learned early on how to live a slow life. I wake up early, eat a good breakfast, and read a book off and on throughout my days off of work. Each time I get up to make a new cup of tea or tinkle, I make a point to do a small chore. Laundry, dishes, etc. I even decide to tidy one room of my home and tackle it a little at a time with small breaks. Everything gets done, just not by noon. It would drive my mother nuts when I was a kid, but it works for me. ❤😊 keep being you

What you said about not rushing the season or wanting winter to be done and spring to be here really hit me. I want to rush past or thru the seasons of my life that aren't going well but I really just should embrace them and not wish away the lessons to be learned in them. Thank you.

@FilmFanization

Dear Daria, I am also a laid back low key person who loves to simply just BE! And ever since I realised that, I am doing my best towards a calm soft life! I think it all comes to identifying the rhythm of our body and working accordingly. I have also felt many times I am at my best when alone!

And this video came at the right time! All your resonating messages, the video clips, the dessert, everything seems beautiful to me! ❤

I've been feeling so low engergy for a while now too. My insonmia is bad on this new medication I'm on and it's been really hard lately. Thanks for this video and helping me lean into listening to my body and get more in nature. :)

@Auntie7024

Your videos are very calming. I appreciate your honesty and opening up about being an introvert and loving a slower way of living. It's okay to step away from all the busyness and to be your authentic self. Your baked apples looked delicious and so cozy for the next days breakfast. Take care. See you again soon. ❤

Wow! I have been heard and seen in your words. I am so grateful for your thoughts and how much they resonate with me. Yesterday I took the day and off and just read, did some art, listened to quiet music and rested most of the day. Then I made homemade soup and dinner rolls and was very happy. Thank you for sharing! Hugs
