@figmo397

I'm glad to see Don Novello is still around! Getting him for an "interview" was pure genius!

@kellidinit3725

Anyone else that just felt the stress melt away when the good Father walked out? Wow. For a minute there I was transported back in time.

@raypelling6440

IT'S A MIRACLE!!
We get to see Father Guido Sarducci again!!!
This is a sign things are going to start to turn around for the better.

@AstroCelt

I'm turning 60 in a little more than a week, and I absolutely LOVE being able to see Father Sarducci again!!! BRAVO Mr. Colbert. Bravo indeed.

@Brian-uy2tj

What he said about RFK Jr. and menthol was perfect.

@stanbark007

I remember watching Father Guido as a young kid. It makes me so happy that Don Novello is still out there, keeping the character alive!! "Arrivederci America!!"

@user-kx9eh3qo4q

Calling for WEEKLY updates from Father Guido for the next few years!!!!

@yiffytimes

I was such a fan back in the day, and I am very happy to say this. He hasn't lost anything, still just as funny and insightful when he was on SNL many decades ago. Please have him on again and again. We love him.

@suzyq4183

I have missed Father Sarducci so much - thank you for bringing him back.

@Christina-ge3xr

Love Fr. Sarducci!! Been a fan since the 70s and what a treat to hear he’s still dishing on Vatican gossip ❀

@mrtweedy705

Father Sarducci hasn't lost a step! He's Amazing as Always!

@rickemmet1104

So here we have Don ad libbing(?) with Stephen, who came out of Second City. And Don was enjoying this so much he couldn't keep the smirk off his face. Stephen, for his part, did a great job of not breaking and laughing out loud. Don, as Guido, is so deliciously ridiculous, I could listen to him for hours on end. Averadicci, Mister Novello, hope to see you again sometime soon!

@rowenapascual1316

Another generation are introduced to Father Sarducci!! Thank you Stephen!!

@rumigirl

It’s so great to see all the love for Don Novello. The tenderness and excitement in this comment section is just fabulous. πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

@thebiblepriest4950

I met Father Guido Sarducci thirty years ago in an ice-cream parlor on Piazza Navona in Rome. We have a mutual friend, a priest from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, who took me to meet him. I said, "Father Guido, I know why you never found the Pope in the 'Find the Pope in the Pizza' contest." He picked up the line right away, "Why did I never find the Pope in the Pizza, then?" I said, "Because I ate him." He looked at my pouch and said, "You didn't eat all 250 of them, did you?" And that was an original Sarducci joke just for me.

@SamPockerOfficial

Thank you to whomever's idea it was to get him on the show. No idea how or why he came out of retirement but I'm so happy he did!

@davegarfield9007

SO GOOD to see Don Novello reprise the role that made him a household word! Father Sarducci always lent an air of poise and dignity to SNL.

@mlester72

Colbert understood the assignment. 😊

@PatriciaEpifanio-p3b

I am delighted that the actor who portrays Fr. Guido Sarducci is still with us. As he did in the past, he made me laugh. ❀

@anaouzounian1557

Thank you, Stephen. Seeing Father Sarducci again is wonderful.
