@fishduckdog

Winter here in Minnesota yet, but nice to go through your videos on fly casting. Gets me charged up for the upcoming season! Thanks for sharing this info!

@kevinjtoner

Great instruction. I like watching your older videos as well……. Thank you Chris!!! 👍🤣

@WilliamKiene

The longest throw is the Lefty Kreh distance casting method. Work on your fly casting, unless all you do is fly fish with indicators.
This long casting method is important for fly fishing on saltwater, or fly fishing on lakes, or fly fishing on large rivers for steelhead and Atlantic salmon.
When you hear someone say, "I catch all my fish within 30 feet." It is because he can only cast 30 feet. Excellent video.

@AtmaRising

Awesome information!

@golfscotland

Informative and amusing 😂. My beginnings. Now getting back after a 50year absence.

@channinghatcher8580

Just started learning to cast to catch Red fish. Great video!!! You showed me exactly what I was doing wrong

@tonygruber

Great set of videos Capt. Myers. How about some tips on holding more fly line in the air to make longer casts. And as a follow up, for us saltwater casters chasing in shore species, what would you say is the farthest distance that we should be proficient making?

@randellgribben9772

you are also DH the line...i lost my ability to DH after my stroke.. still can cast.. but no DH right now,, will work on it , but still you might want to note, that your are also DH'ing the line. but this is a great video,, i will try it, thanks

@carlstatham594

Very very clear. Many thanks.

@fins-n-skins7524

Just took the advice from this video and corrected my stroke and was just side hitting 60ft casts with a good side wind. Thank you sir, appreciate the video.

@Joe-dz7kj

Thank you. This helped me🙏

@thebluewoollybugger

Very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

@larsskomedal

Thanks, this helps. Greatings from norway

@brianborum9298

This is great. Thank you and it helps to see the full picture of the fly line. Ignore the haters. Solid

@quirkworks4076

It’s funny, I’ve been fly fishing all my life and all your techniques for adding distance come as natural to me as breathing…but I don’t think I could put any if it into the kinds of words or demos that would help anyone. Bravo!

@EscapingTheCity

Your lack of false casting is also noteworthy. I'm no great caster by any means but I've learned to give one good back cast and one good forward cast is a lot less frustrating and tiring than 5-10 false casts trying to get more line in the air.

@claudiovargasmd.4861

Extraordinary video. Thanks.🇨🇱

@loganbob5034

I would always encourage my students to always look to increase and perfect their casting distance because it helps develop muscle memory and better presentation at those longer distances.

@aaronhiggs

When you adjust your cast length, would that , by proxy , mean that you would make your haul longer?

@2215college

It’s good to know ways to make long casts, but I’ve never had to cast 50-75 feet or longer to catch trout in a river or stream. In my opinion the further one casts the more difficult it is to make an effective presentation to the fish.
