While people are right that it's no one's business how he chooses to spend his money, there is a fine line of spending lots of money on a game for happiness and a gambling addiction and it all depends on budget. If he's in a financial situation where dropping $20,000 isn't a problem for him, I don't care if he's spending it at an actual casino, on hookers and blow, or on gacha games. But 99% of the time when you see behavior like this (and he says he's at least also doing it in Genshin), it's usually not people who can really afford it because even if you made 1 million a year, you should still hesitate dropping a random $20,000 on a game. My parents are both doctors with income well within the top 1 percentile of American incomes, but they still get their gas at Costco because it's cheaper and my dad still buys clothes on clearance. That's all Pokke is saying and he doesn't want to glaze or encourage straight up gambling behavior which I respect. While this might bring him enjoyment, people who play and lose money on slots and blackjack are also having fun, but that doesn't mean it's healthy or behavior to be encouraged. When you have an adult job, you do have some more disposable income so its easy to say that you got the bag to afford this, but that doesn't mean that their financial planning and goals are being met.
