@jessicarothley

Is there anything you never thought youd stop buying but ended up bringing simplicity into your life when you did?

@ciannacoleman5125

I agree sunlight is important, however I 100% disagree about stopping using sunglasses. I have blue eyes and there are some days that are just too bright for my eyes even with a hat. I wear them maybe 25% (or less I am forgetful and suffer for it lol) of the time but when I need them I need them.

@lobsterkitty7

I finally caved and have a hook on the wall for my apron so I can actually SEE it, and now I wear my apron often!

@rachelgarrison8686

Hahaha the gala & smokey eyes šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ I have an autoimmune disorder and it affects my eyes. I didn't wear makeup for 2 years. After that, I looked at how I used to do my makeup and just looking at it makes me tired šŸ˜‚

@Moccsnosocks

Respect! There's so much you can save $$ on. Almost anything DIY if you have the time will save a lot of money. Some things that come to mind for me is making hand soap (just castile soap, a little olive oil and just water to a foam pump; castile soap can be used to clean a lot in addition to diluted rubbing alcohol for granite countertops/vinegar for bathroom cleaning); no more essential oils (overrated), thrifting/getting things at estate sales (estate sales are the best - people lived and loved those items and they're cheaper/better quality than what you can get at the store or online these days); minimizing beauty/skin/hair products (I use rhassoul clay to exfoliate and bison tallow/castor oil to moisturize, other than that I only have argan oil - love to keep my skin & hair routine simple and castor oil is a miracle oil with a ton of uses); stopping most supplements and getting to root causes like you mentioned - diet, exercise, sleep, stress, sunlight, loving relationships). Youtube is super helpful for self-education vs. buying programs too. Eliminating the consumerism mindset is liberating for the soul and the pocketbook, you feel less owned by the things you do buy and I find I appreciate what I make and have more now. Thank you - automatic sub!

Would love to see a minimalist home tour!

@juca2543

Watching your videos from Germany. You are so clear to everything you say ā¤ it is a joy to listening and getting inspired.

First i thought i have no time to prepare so much food to replace products i usually buy in supermarket, but if there is less clutter, there is more time for those things.

Thank you for sharing 😊

@sophycandice4751

I agree with you so much on almost every item! There are some things I buy from this list, but in most cases I was just shocked that there is someone who thinks in the same way:D thank you for your content!

@janetstonerook4552

I'm with you on all the food issues and beauty and hygiene items. I actually use olive and coconut oils from my pantry as face and body oils!

@DigiDesk-jo1ks

This was wonderful!! I’m a minimalist as well and it’s great to see I have more work to do!! Thank you!!

@Dit1160

My eye site has got to the point that doing my eyebrows is impossible…I resent the 12$ a month…but I still have a little vanity in me at 72 yrs old

@LeOlamVaed

Wow I love this on so many levels.

@Molls784

Great list, love the video. We also are a one car family after the pandemic my husband began working from home and it has saved so much money. People think we are crazy but it works great for our family

@CarisaRealtor

You're doing a great job! Natural living is the best. ā¤

@dawnh1955

I love the Glassware one, we use mason jars for water and I never thought to use a pasta sauce jar, "if you want a cup of water you are definitely going to get an upcycled mason jar, a recycled pasta sauce jar"

@SecretB-p3j

My acne significantly improved after I quit using a bunch of expensive masks, serums, creams etc. as a person with sensitive skin plain and simple products and routines work wonders!

@claudiascott6654

Jessica, love your videos but totally disagree with the sunglasses issue. My brother-in-law, an eye doctor jokes that people who don't wear them is what guarantees that he will stay in business removing cataracts... 'When you spend time in the sun without adequate protection, you may be more likely to develop a variety of eye issues, ranging from corneal "sunburns" to cataracts. Eye conditions associated with sun exposure include: Photokeratitis: Photokeratitis occurs when your corneas are exposed to intense sunlight.'

@AwakeAndGrateful

I’m happy to report that I don’t buy most of these!! I also haven’t worn sunnies in years; amazing that so many people are conditioned to think they are necessary.
