i like that a professional writer and director wrote an episode that sounds like its made by a 13 year old creepypasta fan
After reading the script of the episode, staff begun to hide meth from Vince
Love how everyone gets a nickname and Saul is just Saul
Ah yes, the most memorable characters from the hit show, Breaking Bad! -Bad bald guy -Good bald guy -Kinda in between bald guy -Dude who says bitch a lot -Bitch -And Saul
fun fact: the intended story for walt ended up being the story for gus fring who was driven by the death of his partner against hector salamanca
"and then Walter.exe hyper realistically looked at the camera with his hyper realistic eyes and then his hyper realistic eyes started hyper realistically bleeding hyper realistic blood and then he hyper realistically said to Jesse in a hyper realistic voice: "Jesse I am the one who kills" and then Walter.exe hyper realistically killed his wife and kid and turned their flesh into a pizza and then threw the pizza onto a roof" -
You know i think this plot was reworked into gus' death. I mean its literally the same plot. Hector kills Gus' partner and Gus effectively holds Hector prisoner and cuts pieces off him (not literally, but he keeps telling him about each salamanca death) and then Hector trips an explosion device into his face when the time is right.
This feels like an edgy fanfic of an already edgy show. Walt becoming the saw killer really early on is basically what everyone feared the show would end up like if it became worse overtime
The description of the show at the beginning was the best and most perfect description of the show I've ever heard...
I'm glad they didn't go through with this, this would have killed the show. A perfect example of "too bleak stopped caring".
What is hilarious to me is how this is the exact kind of thing you would expect to read in the average lost episode creepypasta. If it weren't for the details coming from Vince himself, I would've thought this was dug up from the dregs of 2008-2013 era internet.
They probably realized Jesse had all the connections though and killing him wouldn’t make sense. Jesse is the main reason Walt found about Tuco, main reason he found about Saul and Sauls connection made it so he met Gus and without Jesse I think part of Walt’s character would be missing. Jesse is the only reason Gus didn’t trust Walt outright because Jesse was a junkie in his eyes eventually Jesse won him over but Jesse also led Walt to kill Gus and Jesse’s disloyalty led to him helping Hank and Hank’s eventually death. Jesse really is the cause and effect of a lot of things that happen to Walt indirectly or directly so without him I think you miss a factor of the show.
I like the part in the script when he said "oh my god! he's been Breaking Bad!"
I don't think Vince meant "into a basement" as "into his house's basement" to be fair, you can kinda see that when he says "somehow Walt Jr. would find this place" which only makes sense if you assume that the place is not his own house. Overall it's still a very weird premise that would flip the show we know now into something completely different but I think Vince would've made it at least make sense somehow.
Walter. Put your VHS away Walter. We aren't watching the lost episode right now Walter
I am so glad they kept Jessie. I loved him right away and went on loving him even more. The character development, the chemistry and the acting towards the end…just perfect
Honestly this would’ve been interesting if gus’s backstory stayed the same if he appeared, since the parallels of gus’s partner being killed woukd tie well with Jesse, walters partner, being killed
The idea of having Walt kidnap Tuco in a basement is definitely an interesting one, putting it up against the Krazy 8 hostage situation as a mirror to how he starts and ends the season. Where Walt is really conflicted with the morality versus the reality in one, but wounded and enraged in the other. Thank god we got Aaron Paul though, far and away my favorite character :)
I like the Walter White we got. A slow gradual change into a monster. This other Walter White goes from 0 to 100 real quick.
