I really like Kazuki’s backstory. Not only does it demonstrate that men are victims of this is as well, but I think with Kazuki being a man, it helps to make this more understandable to other men who are particularly toxic (such as his father) and would say “You should have enjoyed it” or things like that. Having someone stalk you is really scary in general, and I’m glad that the show doesn’t just brush it off as a trope, taking it seriously by saying how people are affected by this. No doubt Kazuki was living with some form of PTSD with his reactions, and it was great foreshadowing from the early episodes about his trauma, and it also shows his healing and how he wants to move forward. Thanks to Anzu reaching out to him and seeing him as a human, and as a friend (instead of someone to be sought after, basically objectifying him) he feels like he can trust the opposite sex again other than his sister.

This scene alone repainted all of his reactions in a new light. I thought that he said he wasn't interested in romance because he just didn't like how clingy girls were toward him and found it annoying. After this... it shows that it's not just annoying, it's literally traumatic for him. I thought he was going to just he a one dimensional "ikemen" character, but I love that he really feels like a deeper character. Getting over trauma isn't easy, and imagining how he was feeling in the moment he saw his stalker again and Anzu's immediate reaction to protect him, man, it makes me appreciate Anzu. She's honestly very relatable, but I love that she represents some rare but good traits in women I know such as sticking up for herself and others, but not being overbearing or preachy. She's sensitive to others' feelings and grows herself to overcome social anxieties and find better balance in her life. She can have her interests and still make friends and love interests. I didn't expect to get so much out of this show. I love it!

This was one of the most tasteful takes on the type of abuse men can be subjected to, and the best part is it's not something that came out of left field because even from the beginning the story drops hints that there is a reason why Kazuki avoids girls and slowly builds it up until the finale where it comes out in full and everything begins to click; why he doesn't like those two girls trying to hit on him, why he gets nervous when being stared at, why he lives alone and avoids sharing contacts with anyone, why he is so aloof and withdrawn. It's so well executed.

i just finished this anime today and it was so good. I really loved their friendship and how he came to trust her. I loved her saying "if you hate it just tell me" knowing her instinct was to hug him because he was a human being in pain, but also knowing that he's had severe trauma and it being okay if he's not ready for a hug. So well done.

Tsukasa did absolutely nothing wrong. He did the most basic thing a human being should do, but the wrong person, who was so devoid of human interaction, than any gesture of kindness is twisted as affection.

This show really went from 0 to 100 real quick. Up until now it's just been goofy anzu faces and riri getting beat up and suddenly we're thrust with this heartbreaking and terrifying backstory 😭

The whole thing in this anime about his trauma always made me cry. I am glad the author made Anzu the kind of “non-heroine” that will try to step in and stop things before anything bad happens (whether she realized it or not) I hope I can be the same way for others in the near future. It is very admirable.

All he did was judt doing a good deed. It is truly not his fault but the stalker who take his kindness obsessively. Its the stalkers own fault for ruining his life just to satisfy her own. And the fault also goes the the father and his classmates for being too quick to judge him and not helping him with his problems instead.
