Considering it’s not even an official strike, and they’re just sitting around holding the roles hostage, I love the current VAs, but they’re holding on for nothing. There’s been no indication that we’ve seen that hoyoverse plans on using AI to replace VAs considering they replace Kinich with another human instead of AI. At this point it’s bothersome how it’s genuinely affecting people who are part of SAG that can’t work without being Scabs. I’ve just given up on my favorite characters having voices and switched over to the jp dub 🤦♀️

The VAs shouldn’t even be striking. Hoyo is one of the companies that wasn’t targeted in the strike but they’ve somehow ended up involved anyway. SAG-AFTRA looking more suspicious by the second. Especially after hearing that Venti’s VA was sent threatening letters and that she was having a hard time returning, even stating that she would’ve been working the whole time if she could’ve.

VA isn’t about AI (Hoyoverse already has those protections because of the Chinese government). It’s about forcing VA to join SAGA so they can voice for Hoyoverse. They only want to force Hoyoverse to write into the contract that they can only recruit VA from SAGA, and of course, SAGA has fees for new members.

It's not a strike, they're just refusing to work. Hoyo was never a target, but SAG does want their VAs to strongarm Hoyo into going union. It's dogshitty tbh. "Voice their support"? Of what? Refusal to work? They had the community supporting them till it came out that this wasn't about AI at all and just greed and the vile shit they said about Kinich's new VA. Stop holding roles hostage. Go voice them. They're not a part of the strike, go. If not, get replaced. Glad Hoyo's starting to replace them, they've given them enough time and leniency.

I hope people do keep in mind that the voice actors who are gone do want to work, but some of them who are in SAG are being threatened by their own company.
