@vikas_kardam

No nation should block another’s right to pursue its own developmental projects—just as China is advancing its canal project in Thailand, India is also charting its course by developing a submarine hub in the Andamans.

@TJ-ss9yu

Why are there worry about Thailand sovereignty but not Panama or Egypt on canal .

@nlee8801

It is Thailand's internal business. It is none of the US and others 's business.

@20twenty4can

Why wasn't the story of the people of Diego Garcia told, and how they were forcefully removed from their island, their home, so the USA could build their air base?

@greetandries99

One has to be an alien to be even considering to be an ally of USI

@sonnyliemscomma4970

That is what IMF, The World Bank and Western Hegemonic countries are doing to many developing countries today, the worst is by toppling many souvereign leader, creating instabilities and coups

@johnarnold8122

Mexico is building a canal just north of the Panama

@nlee8801

Why not? It will benefit a lot of countries in the regions , especially Thailand. Why is there nobody complaining about the Panama canal?

@danieloehler2494

This is not a Chinese canal, but a canal for Thailand connecting east coast and west coast. It is a strategic necessity allowing the Thai navy to move from west coast to east coast and back.

@mcrae.

When the panama and Suez canals were built, no one cared about the settlement or the environment cus it was meant for economic purposes....

But because of modern sensitivity, everything has to be question regardless of the benefits......

@colinchia5318

Nobody forced you to use the canal.

@MalistaniOfficial

Why always spreading negativity against China? 🤔

@yiannis.demetriou9696

Shrilanka's government had more than 30 people in the top positions family to their president.
Is China not allowed to recoup their investment? America does not give anything just demands and takes

@navypowertv

The video discusses China's plan to build the Kra Canal in Thailand, a $28 billion project intended to bypass the Strait of Malacca and shorten shipping routes. The canal would have geopolitical implications, potentially altering trade dynamics and shifting power in the Indian Ocean. However, there are environmental concerns, social disruptions, and risks of increased Chinese influence over Thailand. What are your thoughts on the potential geopolitical shift this canal could cause?

@dypk.2all

What's the big deal over the Kra Canal? This canal had been talk of as far back as the early 1960s. It was never built then due to various factors like funding, technology, sufficiency of cargos and ships that would use it compared to going thru' the Malacca Strait and around Singapore. With China now a major manufacturer for the world, this canal should now be feasible. But of course, SG would be most unhappy if it ever gets built.

@suratwiyada4065

This canal project has been talked about for more than 70 years but never happened. From previous goverment, had been propose train connection between Andaman Sea and Thai gulf instead of Kra cannal because of environmental issue. And Thailand has projects of high-speed train without China's money, generaly we're not stupid but with the present goverment I 'm not sure about it.

@wizsurf

If have the $$$, just do it !

More advantages than so called disadvantages

No ifs & buts !

@stevencharnock9271

It is a brilliant idea it will save so much year on year. The keel canal is 98.637 kilometres long and cuts off sailing all the way around Denmark connecting the North Sea and the Baltic.

@therover65

As a Singaporean, I hope the canal won’t be built. But the label of “debt trap diplomacy” is rubbish as the Chinese charge lower interest than all the western options, lenient on payment terms. You look at what the west is doing to Ukraine without their financing (and encouragement to provoke Russia), not only is that debt trap but has weakened Ukraine so much it is practically doomed.

@mfernandez4869

Thailand canal in the works for over 5 years . Wow can’t believe it 😂😂
