@aaronberk1234

Just bought one today. It'll be a complimentary tool to my Graco HVLP edge and procart. Trying to learn all the good and the bad. Thanks for posting this video

@carlosflores8665

Mine stopped spraying and i took everything apart like you did, but i also took apart the electronic gun, unscrew every piece in that gun and got to unclogged it, some paint particles got stuck the gun. It was hard to clean but now it s sprayes as it used to

@ProfessionalPainterDecorator

thanks for the video.

Top Tip for you, run some vasoline/patroleum jelly around the threads (plastic - and the metal of the tip guard) on the lid and also around where the white pot sits in the black holder, (not on the rubber seal though).
This stops paint drying and making it tight to remove.

@exhalepaintingcontractorsl2010

Thank for the break down brother, helps my minds eye when problem solving.

@izenizen5532

Thanks for the effort...
I have a truecoat that just went south... i called my local airless repair shop today -- he said not worth the cost of repair. Also he said once he opens the tc the integrity of the unit is shot.
Now here is his suggestion: he said the quickshots are coming in fast and furious. He said it's a great unit BUT wait another year while they graco works out the kinks
Interesting... thanks again. Fascinating

@kencrisp6333

It was very generous of you to take the time to make this video and post it, which will be beneficial to many people, for sure. Great job! It looked like it was a bit of a struggle to turn the new cup to the "lock" position. You might want to lube the rubber gasket on the cup to make it rotate easier and potentially make the gasket last longer. Most people would probably use Vaseline, but I prefer to use MolyKote 111, which is made for such applications.

@kritas9432

I can say that your video made me reconsider the purchase of this machine...
Am a carpenter and i mostly paint cabinet doors & inside house doors.

@jessehuerta1946

Thanks for video man. I bought one about a month ago and love it. Mine still works but love watching these videos for back up. Thank you for taking the time and showing us. I use mine to cut in ceiling with my shield and spraying the corners of the inside of the house. I’ve done 2 houses and cut my time by a lot. Oh these are new construction homes.

@KyleVeatch

After watching a few videos online, there are a few other things you can clean. On the pump, there are large plastic allan sockets. There are 3 plastic ball valves that can also get clogged and cleaned out.

@ChristopherLeskanic

You were told by the repair shop what? I just replaced my pump because it exploded after about 45 gallons.... Having to wait a week for the new $275 pump theres an obstruction somewhere and paint won't flow properly.... Thanks for the video! New subscriber!

@Hardinthapaint

Videos looking good in landscape

@carlevanko2060

I had a similar issue and was able to get it to work after running hot water on the spray head for a long time.

@VewySiwwyWabbit

Obviously it's very dirty and covered with paint, you need to use water to clean it after each job with water until it comes out clear, then run Miniral spirits to to get off anything that water didn't get then use Graco pump armor. Use extra strainer when filling the cup.
Thanks for the video was very informative on the inside of the machine cause I never had to go thru your situation fact is that mine would look brand new after each job fact is I use mesh bags around the unit and spray head, the hose would be covered with shield/Liner Cover.
Professionals keep their equipments in pristine condition.
Again, Thanks for the video.
One more thing, since you opened the machine you should've cleaned the inside and you can get the Graco QuickShot Outlet Valve 18H075 to repair the pump, cost $50.
Good luck.

@UpNorthPaintDrywallLLC

It's the gun. I had the same issue. Apparently the solenoid which is the main part of the gun that pulls the needle in and out went bad. They sent me a new gun and I replaced it and it works fine again.

@AngieWilliamsDesigns

I used my quickshot yesterday. LOVED IT. Today… not so much. I got almost done with my project. I did make a mistake of my own and got a clog. I cleaned everything and started over. Almost got the piece done and it just stopped working. I can spray water. As soon as I spray paint I get maybe two passes and it just stops. I followed all the directions. Not sure I understand what to try

@ome6931

My quick shot went out today. Red light was blinking 4 times every time I tried spraying. According to the manual it needs a new motor or pump . I got early November and haven’t even ran 15 gallons through it. I spoke to my SW sales rep and they told me that it might be covered under warranty.

@dominikfratczak8710

Needle doesn't engage. It's operated by electronic trigger, which means there will be ELECTROMAGNET that pulls the needle (there is a spring that pushes needle foreward), mine stopped working in exactly same way, fix took less than this video, inside that big cylinder - yes you can take it apart, there is a little machine screw that due to a bit of corrosion didn't hold that needle anymore, push that needle through the front of the gun, so it goes back as far as possible, screw it back in, 10 months later and over 100 litres of paint it is still fine,

@doomslayerforever2858

80 gal thays not bad i hear those other older hand helds lasted shorter

@camdecorations9779

You've sprayed 250 litres of paint through it , your pump is dead

@agent7agent759

Just to add my 2 cents here for the quick shot owners , here in Canada the quickshot costs around 2000$ tax in so if you sprayed about 80 gallons trough that machine i would've throw it and bought a new , and here is how , when you quote your job throw extra 25$ per gallon price for the equipment and when you reach 80 gallons you have the 2000 dollars to spend when it reaches to its end , either change the pistons and pay less or opt out for a new sprayer , and I think its fair to charge the customer 25$ per gallon extra
