This episode, that bit when she crawls upto him to say she loves him and to live. Man if this song doesn't get you that alone does.
DEPRESSION SHALL RISE AGAIN! SEASON 2 HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
It's been 6 years, and this impact of which this OST hits is still so powerful
I swear this episode was the most depressing one I've ever seen in anime, perhaps in any show ever. Seeing Subaru walk through the dead, destroyed village with basically everyone you've learned to know being dead, and him ending up dying at the end... even if he can return by death and you know that, that was just... damn.
At the beginning I thought that Subaru is very annnoying. But then, he saw all his closest friends dying so many times. He died many times aswell and experienced so much pain BUT he didnt give up, he fought and he did something that no one probably could ever do. Respect.
As a web novel reader, Man, the things he goes through just because he decided to be Rem's hero... because he decided to be the Subaru everyone had come to rely on
4:54 Bloody roll credit, endless snowstorm, nothing but icy corpses, whiteout... End of the line. This is worse than edge of tomorrow.
Subaru Natsuki, a young man forced to go through Hell and back over and over again. To suffer repeatedly until the job is done. There is nothing slothful about him. He is far more heroic than even he can see. That's his problem. Not all heroes can peacefully live Happily Ever After. They must keep going until the journey is won or the journey breaks them instead. That is a common price many pay to be a hero. Their very lives.
Those of you who have failed to like this yet, "You are truly slothful."
I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to forget that scene where he carries Rem... That entire episode really screwed with me.
4:54... My heart cant take it.
Honestly this was the best episode hands down. Toyed with your emotions perfectly.
久しぶりに聴いたけど涙少しでました。やっぱり自分の心がまだ泣き足りないんだと思いました。
“No matter what happens, even when it looks like you’re gonna lose, when no one else believes in you, when you don’t believe in your self, I will believe!” – Rem . Season 2 will be tough , remember this words Subaru...
No you guys this song goes so well with the credits rolling and Subaru just like this and him holding Rem then, his head gets cut off... no that was brutal.
this show taught me something important.... if you're not isekai'd by truck-kun, chances are you are about to suffer in the other world. truck-kun was the true savior afterall
this is the most emotional OST
This soundtrack, just WOW! That beginning, with the violin and cello melody and overtones, I played this randomly around some friends and they asked, "Bro, what scene of Game of Thrones is this from!?" I slowly turned my head, looked them dead in the eyes and said, , "Game of Thrones: The Anime!" Deadass. But on a real note, this anime, along with its OST just tugs on your heartstrings, between its heartfelt happy melodies, like Rem's theme, then this comes along and just grabs at your heart, like the witch does to Subaru. But this OST could easily be in a huge-budget Hollywood movie and would bring audiences to tears; it's that powerful! Huge props to the studio and team that created the music for it. It also has some Bioshock vibes to it as well; that ominous uncertainty of looming doom, yet you're unsure of where it's coming from. But I was legitimately awe-struck and jaw-dropped when this scene happened and very few anime, out of the 100 or so that I've seen, have managed to make me feel so numb from emotion-overload, with perfectly placed music. Goddamn do I love this anime!
the way this series can make you feel for a moment you know is only temporary anyway, that's low-key impressive, at least to me
