@AnthonySNY

I've been watching Spacetime for 10 years, and this is probably the biggest brain-flex I've seen from Matt. Definitely one of the best episodes in a decade.

@spidalack

A good example of "reality is under no obligation to make sense to you"
If history holds up, figuring it out will lead to some impressive things.

@artie4319

I am not even from the US but I hope you guys can keep getting funds for educational purposes!

@ShihammeDarc

Gravity being a case of anti-reductionism is the biggest cliffhanger this channel has ever ended on.

@AnerLucero

PBS space time. Pushing the UV limit of my understanding.

@drunkenhobo8020

Once again this Douglas Adams quote is relevant:
"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

@garychisholm2174

What I love about this channel is that - despite being a science fan already - it makes me think of things I would never have thought to otherwise think of.

@Pecos33109

The best channel for reducing such advanced physics concepts into lay terms that a general audience can understand, imho. Thanks for being such a superb resource, Spacetime!

@beansperkins

Please don’t leave us alone with Sabine

@CosmicGeeks_

One of the most illuminating takes on reductionism I’ve seen. The leap from blue whales to the Planck scale was mind-bending—and humbling. Thank you, PBS Space Time, for turning physics into philosophy with style.

@crowrebar640

I love watching PBS Space Time even when it is "above my head". Similarly, I would love to buy merch and become a patron but 1st there's rent.

@Durrutitv

Protect PBS SpaceTime at all costs.

@johnfinch6057

Really loved this video. Few science educators talk intelligently about the actual metaphysics of science, and are willing to really give philosophical arguments for things. I hope you do more videos in this vein

@AlekThunder47

Cool episode, I really liked it. Thanks, Matt. Hope the PBS stays afloat.

@amorphant

5:46 The mentioned patterns weren't even shown in the clip! They're remaining basically stationary relative to each other. If you're reading this and haven't seen the swirling patterns in a murmuration of starlings, look up a video. They're mesmerizing!

@ScribblyPoppo

I've misplaced three of my reality layers this week alone!

@seionne85

Thanks for all you do, to everyone who helps make these videos

@code4chaosmobile

Great video. I've always wondered about the boundaries between domains like this and you answered a lot of questions I didn't even know yet to ask. Thank you. Keep up the good work!

@LanceMcCarthy

This is in my top 5 favorite episodes. Well written and perfect visualizations.

@bartmannn6717

Thank you for the Blue Whale Atoms example! That helped my goldfish attention span to.....what was I talking about again?
