There are also various smaller inner city restaurants, bakeries, and so on. Could you argue Krusty Krab is the main fast food joint for the suburbs outside of the main city? Perhaps, but he would just be along one of the routes out of the city. Whose to say who controls the fast food market on the other sides of town.

6:28 Mr. krabs isnāt the only crab we see in the show, we see his dad who was in the navy and his grandmom (or his mom I canāt remember) who plankton fell in love with. Just like how we see SpongeBob, Squidward, Mrs. Puff (her husband), and Patrickās family, the only species we see once In SpongeBob is Larry the lobster. Thereās even an episode where Sandy has her professor visit for an experiment or something with like two other scientists. Mr. Krabs isnāt the only crab in bikini bottom.

You took that scene about SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs conversation out of context. You should have explained that they were NOT talking about the Krabby patty formula, they were discussing chumās formula.

Plankton did... get the formula and he improved on it too in the spongebob movie. That's where plankton sells Neptune crown in shell city and frames krabs for it. He ultimately makes the krabby patty 2.0 by adding a hint of chum. He then mind controlled the city until spongebob rocked everyone back to their natural mindless ways but this isn't the only time plankton actually got his hands on the formula. It's just one of the few times he successfully made use of it

If we accept the history of the Krusty Krab as shown, the building shape and name are completely unrelated to anything Mr Krabs does. The building was pre-existing and simply became available, and it was already named the Rusty Krab, which Mr Krabs minimal effort changed to the Krusty Krab. There is no deep connection, just coincidence. That's, of course, if we accept the history as shown.

This conversation between Spongebob and Mr. Krabs had NOTHING to do with the Krabby Patty Secret Formula, but rather how chums made. 13:45 this is the only correct thing in the entire video. Alot of the spongebob video being played in the background is actually stolen from: "Krusty Krab Vs. Chum Bucket: Whose Food Is Tastier š| Spongebob | Nicktoons". And isn't credited anywhere at all.

About the no competitors bit, we have been shown that there are other fast food chains in bikini bottom. I forgot the episode title, but it's the one where SpongeBob gets fired and is looking for a new job. He tries multiple different kinds of fast food restaurants.

Spongebob moved in after moving away from his parents (far away from what I gather) Patrick likely stuck to any rock around and squidward is probably tring to get away from the shame of his failed talents. Knowing krabs and his mom live in bikini bottom though I'd say it's safe to say they migrated here when he was still young. (Perhaps because they have no contact with daddy krabs?) But that would explain why he was rag boy with little to the family name. They were new odd and overall different. Plankton also comes from a very large family. None of which we see until he contacts them and based on their dialect it's safe to assume their country folk. Not city slickers

I think it's more likely the Krusty Krab is shaped like a crab trap because Bikini Bottom is built out of pollution, and the gag is that a crab is using a crab trap for something practical. The vault with the secret formula (and all his cameras, for that matter) are a parody of the Coka Cola vault and the company's paranoia surrounding it. You really REALLY overthink a cartoon.

There are other places to get food, and the high-class food seems to be in high contention. With various restaurants there, Mr Krabs took Miss Puff to one. For the deserts, Goofy Goobers and Weenie Hut. With much more. We have competition for the Krusty Krab Pizza, Bunny Buns, and Pizza Piehole is likely what causes it to not be there alongside the Krabby Patty. They are primarily a pizzerias. Breakfasts we have "Diner" yeah... "Diner" and Coffee Bowl. For the upper class, we have Fancy For hotdogs, we have, Hotdog on a string and "Hotdog Shop." We do actually have competitors to the Krusty Krab; Fish King/Burger Fish, presumably The Krusty Klam, and Wagon Wheel(?). For chicken, we have Sea Chicken Shack For tacos we have Taco HaĆ¼s and Taco Sombrero. For noodles and probably other far eastern foods we have Wet Noodle. Also tons of bars, like... TONS. So, there's definitely quite the competition.
