There is alot of content in this games, the problem is it's content that noone wants to do, sidequests, events that are filler dialogue locked by alot of time. This is why i'm not playing those games anymore
I play all three: Genshin, Hsr, and ZZZ. With the patch cycles, it works well within each other. So there's always this big content coming out for me. Gacha games aren't meant to be played 24/7 a day or 8 hours a day. It works out for people like me who have been playing video games less and less due to life being more busy. If the content every patch is too much to the point where players like me can't keep up, which are the majority, chances are we will quit playing the game. We don't have the time to dive into all the contents that each patches offers when life gets in the way.
You're very well spoken and thoughtful in your videos. Subscribed. :) I think there's room for "filler" patches in games like WuWa and Genshin where little happens. I love exploration - WuWa, even though it's mobile, I'm close to 80% exploration in every area, but I like the 1.1 / 1.2 down time so I can explore more and catch up on side quests, reputation and so on. I do hope we have a reason to come back to Mount Firmament. I love it the way I love Dragon Spine, which I hope I get to go back to. That being said, I take your point. "What do I do right now?" is usually answered with "spend your resin", and that's what I do. I know that's not engaging for everyone, and for me, it's more like doing a coloring book at the end of the day... soothing might be the word for it. I just spend the days building my characters (in Genshin, everyone to level 90, everyone gets 8/8/8 talents, and then I look at weapons and artefacts, in WuWa it's sort of the same). Not everyone wants to do that, and I get it. It would be nice to have content spread out a little more. Patch 1.2 is basically over for me... and it's got like 3 weeks to go and all I am doing is finishing my first team - Jiyan, Mortefi, Baizhi, by building their talents to level 10, their 5* weapons to level 90, and they're already at level 90 with +25 artefacts. When that's done, I'll build Verina... and so on.
Cook brother. I know you just started out but you are so underrated. I will be seated for future videos.
You gotta consider us on the other player end. Once a patch is released I don't want to wait around for more stuff to release. I kinda just want full access right now. After tht if it's a dead patch thn so be it, I can just not think abt it, do something else.
these games are side games the schedule is fine many people are vey busy so they need all the time they can get for events im ok with log in just for dailys and resin what games needs is a survival challenge mode where we fight every enemy in the game and it gets harder until we beat the whole thing id also like coop hsr hsr and wawa are the two games where i just want to fight stuff so give me content for that
Tbh if player dont know what to do then Gacha Games might not be the type of Games for them. Gacha Games arent build to be played 24/7 and tbh im super happy with the Direction of HSR where most Stuff is already available when a Patch drops. It reduces FOMO when i know exactly i have 6 weeks Time to do the curent Major Event instead of having it active for only 1 Week and then have to play it 24/7 just to get all of my Rewards. This was actual the Standart in "Oldschool" Gachas. Ive played FGO for al.ost 5 Years and everytime during Events i had to play the Events and grind the Sh.. out of the Game just to get all the Rewards. HSR Really respects my Time. Im doing the Story, then on a Weekend the Major Event and then play other Games instead. Aside of that the usual 5 min Daylie Energy Routine and thats it. I know HSR and also ZZZ (which i also play) are just my Timesinks during Breakfast which is totqlly fine for me cause i really enjoy the Story but i also have a Job, a wife and i wanna play other Games aside of them.
We should go brainrot for brainrot. Itd be a banger 🔥🔥
Coming from ffxiv where we have to wait 4 months for new content that doesn't last a week, i'll take these drip fed smaller content anytime lol. But I do feel you.
This never bothered me because I always saw it as a mobile game that you play for a few minutes, and I think more people should see it like that too, because you don't see people talking about how god of war, uncharted and games like this don't have something to do after clearing the story, since at the end of the day these gacha games are meant to be played in small bursts for a long time very casually
I always come into live service games expecting patch cycles, with dead space. I don't expect a single game to keep my attention 7 days a week. I play multiple games, each with its own patch cycle and dead times. I play through patch content, and then let the game idle, only doing the dailies, while I experience the new patch content in other games. I use these live service games as time fillers mostly... I don't consider them "good games."... none of them reach that point for me, but they're free to play, and this is also why I could never spend on a gacha game... the GAME is bad, always. I agree that the pacing of story content being dripped out is annoying. It is extremely hard to keep the "current story" in mind with months between episodes, and sometimes those "episodes" are less story than a single anime episode. I guess this gives lore channels a reason to exist on youtube. Generally, I like a good JRPG. This is why I like Star Rail the most of all the gacha games I've played (Genshin - quit, ZZZ - quit, WuWa - I play dailies.) At least the combat is fun in Star Rail. I don't like action /dodge based content in online games, and games that require PCs above my specs, so they're lagging and stuttering and freezing during combat, leading to multiple deaths that most others don't have to deal with (WuWa's current situation with me.) The last live service games (non-gacha) that have kept my attention in a good way, have been Final Fantasy 11 online (quit when they stopped taking my payment method when they changed to crysta), Warframe and The First Descendant... similar games, and I like Warframe more... but TFD is making good decisions that are promising that I might get what I want out of it in the future. Warframe is slow in updates with story content, but most of the content in that game is the grind. Combat is fun. As long as I have something that I want to get from a mission, I'm usually happy playing. I'm long past "needing" anything in that game, having played since 2017. I have several thousand hours logged, and I still play regularly. Gacha games, with their limited stamina, reduce the amount of time I can actually play their games when I have time to devote to a single game. I despise systems that encourage daily doing a few little things... my schedule doesn't mesh with that way of playing. AND, I don't like re-orienting my brain to different controller configurations with each game having different buttons for jumping, interacting, accepting and canceling... it gets very frustrating switching between them all. Sometimes I just get burned out... but I need that daily premium currency in dribbles, to afford a single new limited banner character per 2 months... that's depressing when you think about it. Why do I play these games again?
gacha gamesy are designed to pull your money out of your pocket not to give you an amazing experience what do you expect
🫂💙
