@ThePaintExplainer

Artist's note: count the Ultrakill references šŸ˜‰

@maxwell6881

"Thats a good argument, but unfortunately, I wrote a book, where I am the chad, and you, are burning in hell "

@RobertCoberly9999

Some dude cuts Dante in line
Dante: furious scribbling "And the IMPATIENT shall have their BUTTHOLES filled with MOLTEN BLOOD for ETERNITY!"

@charlock593

No way Dante basically wrote a book about how everyone he didn’t like went to hell and we let him get away with it

@lukamartinez1292

what a cool explanation vide- IS THAT FREAKING MINOS PRIME

@LinkLovesJesus

Dante’s inferno is Dante basically calling himself a good writer and a great poet.

In Dante’s Purgatorio, it’s him proving it.

@ssharkiggo6432

Dante really said: ā€œfuck fraudā€ and proceeded to make 10 layers of the layer

@Endermeme

ā€œVirgil, why are these people in hell?ā€

ā€œBecause they lacked motivation, Danteā€

@TotallynotManFace

I like to believe that there's a level of hell that is just literal void, you don't have anything, no voice, can't feel anything, even the thought of moving is gone, but your thoughts and all your memories are still there, you know how to move, but can't, you know how to speak but can't, all you can do is think for all eternity. It's a punishment for those that took away other people's freedom.

@accidentalaccident

For everyone who doesn’t know Dante’s inferno isn’t what any version of the Christian faith believes, it’s a story with lots of fantasy. So even if it doesn’t make any sense that’s the point.

@aperson6944

Dante was basically the OG Fanfic writer that makes any character they don't like a villain or suffering

@JTCF

You can understand that this is a hella sick fan fiction when thousands of years later people think this is really what afterlife is.

@twelveseal3217

When a self-insert isekai fanfic becomes so influential it reshapes the religious beliefs of multitudes.

@benkirkby1931

The Divine Comedy is basically a mix Dante's biblical fanfiction and his Mean Girls Burn Book for everyone he didn't like.

@gabelster3729

Even if hell might not exist, you gotta give it to Dante, as this is one of the most creative stories I've ever heard.

@pingu9361

Fun fact: there is a secret 10th layer, called France

@m90e

I love all the ULTRAKILL references (like Minos being shown as Minos Prime, the repeated appearances of other characters from the game, and the way the layers' titles are formatted)

It makes sense, given that ULTRAKILL is mostly references to the Divine Comedy (mostly the Inferno)

@deevan1415

About 14 years ago, they made this into a hack-and-slash video game also called Dante's Inferno.

@Tristian-p6i

I can’t with the ultrakill references, bro you are the LAST person id expect to make a ultrakill reference in a video, more than once too šŸ˜šŸ™

@Norger56

Imagine being a baby going to hell just because someone didn’t pour water on you
