That is a very good tip. Wish someone would have showed me that when I first started.
And don’t be deterred because your fingers hurt or it doesn’t sound right. Your fingers will get used to it that’s just how it is. And gotta get your finger strength up. A lot of people can’t even fully press down on a fret when they start. It’s gonna sound buzzy, it’s gonna hurt your fingers and you WILL get pissed off and feel like it isn’t working. And once you get a riff or chord or song down, keep playing it. Don’t just nail it once and move on, master it. And play with the song. I found myself mixing up entire songs early on because I would just jam and not play the song or backing track. Keep time
These are the kinds of tutorials I was looking for when I first started playing.. I'm still looking for them, lol
Thank you ! A senior citizen learning .
This is the 2nd day of having a guitar and i already know some chords
Maybe put a chord progression chart on the box? Maybe some scale patterns and basics. Like a poster on the back of the box?
I’ve been stuck playing e minor, a minor, and G forever now because of this exact tip lol for the love of good do anything else except this I’m getting tired of guitar because of it
Talks about good place to start, * shows a graph that a beginner can’t understand *
I used to know a few riffs and a lot of chords like Am Em G and C but I stopped practicing and forgot😭
One if my favorite songs by mac demarco uses only 4 two note chords... Still Beating - mac demarco. Great beginner song

i got my first guitar about a week or two ago and today im learning that you're supposed to push ur fingers down onto the string and not touch it gently LOL
great lesson!
I think the last chord is listed wrong finger wise. You have “1” on the G string when I think it should be “3”
Em-CM7-GM7
