I'm also a new driver who did lessons in a diesel and getting used to having my foot on the gas before raising the clutch has been a challenge in my petrol. This video is really insightful and helps me realize I'm not in a bubble with this issue so thank you 🙏🏿
Yeah it's inevitable for new drivers to make mistakes, but sometimes it gives unavoidable pressure when the driver behind you is getting impatient by continuously blowing horns, despite your "Caution: New Driver" sign at the back. As a new driver myself, I experience that a lot, almost every time. And I kept stalling because of that. Very inconsiderate. Forgetting they were once a novice.
Moving off quickly from the stationary position on traffic signals is quite challenging for new drivers and if the engine stalls that is more worse, I think the experience drivers following learner drive behind should always give chance
To anyone who needs to hear this - you will overcome that feeling of stress. But don't stop driving a stick. It is great fun after 1-2 years of driving. And also if any stressful drivers are waving hand or smth, just wave him back with a smile on your face. Stick is more mature and safer to drive than automatic transmission. Never forget it. Much Love to all you learning to drive. ❤
My daughter had the same problem, on one occasion she came to the top of a hill to traffic lights which turned red and she had cars behind her she got very anxious and kept stalling. I eventually changed places but to be fair the cars behind were very patient and appeared to fully understand, we've all been there.
Thank you Chris for the video of how not to stall. I rarely stall but if I stall especially my car is petrol, I get really flustered and I don’t know how to keep my frustration level down and trying my best to stay calm as much as possible.😔
Honestly your driving videos helped me pass and get comfortable with my own car after. I passed in a diesel car and everything was a lot heavier in my instructors car. It took awhile to get used to my own car which had lighter pedals, steering etc and even getting used to the controls took awhile. But your videos have continued to help me improve my driving even after passing. And have genuinely helped me learn a few cheat codes for my own car! These tips are great for everyone, learner or not ❤️
I think this video is so great, directors should put this in the national registry of films, it's really well done
I needed this video and encouragment not to give up, I stalled few times during my lesson, but I will not give up. Thank You.
These videos are great, thank you. I still feel like I'm going to die before every driving lesson but it's good to be reminded that it won't feel like this forever
Hey, brother Chris, thanks so much for your amazing work. I had a very torrid time & suffered a loss of confidence and humiliation on the road as new driver before I discovered your channel. But now slowly getting better and better all thanks your amazing explanation & demonstration. much love from RSA 🇿🇦
I'm a new driver. Everytime I'm on the road, I think of you and your teachings. It's helped so much with my anxiety. Thank you so so much.
2:38 This is so true, I've learned on a car that could move fine with just the clutch and was very forgiving, then when I got in my own car I stalled almost 10 times while getting back..
Thank u so much. Love frm kerala, India 🇮🇳
I passed my test first time with only 1 minor a couple days ago and your channel was easily one of the biggest things that helped me pass. I watched damn near all of your videos lol, and they really help. Also, your voice is very nice.
Went from a driving lesson to a motivational video
I've driven independently for about a week now, but still stalled in stop and go traffic several times. This really screw with my confidence😣
Thank you very much for the informational, and calming video. I've been driving automatic transmittion for over 4 years now, and started learning how to drive manual. It's rough, especially that im used to not worry about driving and it being a casual thing. This video really helped me realize its fine, and eventually ill learn and this will also become natural.
Best channel for learning driving
