Mass and/or energy does not increase, that's why it's called "invariant". The phrase "mass becomes infinite at the speed of light" means that mass becomes spread throughout spacetime relative to an outside observer. Time dilation is just one aspect of dilation, it's not just time that gets dilated. A Relativistic dilation graph illustrates the phenomenon. It has velocity from stationary to the speed of light on the horizontal line and dilation/gamma/y on the vertical. Dilation increases at an exponential rate the closer you get to the speed of light.
   The best way to understand it is to imagine a spaceship traveling at a constant acceleration rate. When the ship reaches 50% light speed, as viewed from an Earthbound observer with a magically powerful telescope, it would appear normal because as the graph shows nothing has changed at that point.
   When the ship reaches 75% light speed it would appear fuzzy because as the graph shows relativistic effects would be noticeable at that point. It would be partially irrelevant from an outside observer's point of view.
   When the ship reaches 99% light speed it would not be visible because every aspect of its existence would be spread throughout spacetime relative to an Earthbound observer.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Mass is invariant, m^2=p^μp_μ, which is a Lorentz scalar. The increase in 3-momentum comes from time dilation.

@geroellheimer

6:20 why does a spinning object must have more mass? I mean an object in a straight trajectory relatively to the observer is one thing, but rotation undergoes a continuous process of changing the direction, like a continuous reset, while the wheel remains at the same location with the observer.
why is it not sufficient to say, that at any given time, the spinning wheel contains momentum towards a given direction, and this momentum is continuously diverted to a different direction?
I don't want to re-invent the definition of kinetic energy, but since a while I have the impression, that time is just another expression of energy and is always directed (while most people believe time exists in itself locally)
maybe there is consistent math behind the wheel = more mass explanation, which can be proven through experiments(!), but intuitively this does not make sense to me.

Bob and Jack need to see therapists if they both want to punch each other on LS trains LOL

@ExistenceUniversity

Damn, I shoulda just finished my video on this rather than put out those non-GR video lol

@Davidbirdman101

Jack and Bob need to sit down and talk about their differences between them. We all know what the real problem is, Jill. They both want to marry Jill so Jack can finally go up the hill and fetch a pail of vodka. Bob on the other hand, shouldn't be in this tawdry tale at all.

the fists looks like kiss more than punch😂
