What a scumbag move. For the price of these consoles, the controllers should be all hall effect sticks & triggers.
I hated that problem with a stick drift. I had that problem too. It was annoying.
PS2 controller never had stick drifting
When I discovered that the first PS3 controllers had Hall Effect and never drift I lost the faith in new technology. Everything has programmed obsolescence now
I just hate when a big company do those cheap tricks …
There's a way it's a plastic thing had probably moved so if the stick move by itself it means the plastic thing had moved from its original place
Ive a ps3 controller thats 12 years old been used more than my ps4 and 5 controllers. Works like a dream.
fun fact all console manufacturing companies know their sticks will eventually drift; they just dont care to fix it since once your controller starts to drift it's essentially finished which forces you to buy a new controller. more fun fact: you can actually fix stick drift a few different ways; the most effective way if youre able to is to swap the stick for hall effect sticks since they will never get drift. the cheaper option is to spray bw100 into the sticks and "agitate" the joystick wont fully get rid of it but it will make it less noticeable
The only controller that I got that drifted was a Nintendo controller
Whoever still buys regular PS5 controllers you guys need to stop.
HA! Sony 100% DOES KNOW HOW TO FIX IT! They’re just greedy assholes!
I feel like the most problem on console is drift stick because like for a example when we play GTA 6 on a open world map of Miami in a state of Florida there is so much to do on task and mission to do but the more you move on joy stick it will become a drift stick on your controller and that's a problem. Hopefully that sony in further or maybe soon they will fix a problem that no more drift stick (If possible of course)
What’s crazy is I never once got stick drift on ps3 or 360. I have a 360 controller that’s wel over 10 years old and it still works perfectly.
I still use the ps4 controller on pc those actually last a long time
just install hall effect, i did on mine, i will never have drifting problem
Stick drift can be fixed at home
I found the problem. Its the case most the time if not the sensors being dirty. Just remove the case, and check if its still drifting. If it doesn't just place the case and squeeze ur hand around to make sure there isnt any wiggle room in the case
This is kind of false information because stick drift happens with every controller eventually unless it has hall effect sticks it's going to happen with any controller
Too many company’s selling 💩 now and expecting people to just pay for it and hide behind the false promise of guarantee knowing full well the after sales support is none existent and so awkward no one will bother 😂
