The easiest way to make a German-British alliance is that Edward VII was never crowned king, so Wilhelm II's good relationship with Queen Victoria could continue to thrive with George V, and the waters would have never been poisoned.

The problem with these kinds of scenarios, is that they are based on a single man. In this case, Kaiser Wilhelm II, where you can make the spin to have is father ruling for longer, or having him develop other tendencies or making him live in a different environment when he was growing up. The video (as always) is well-made. This is basically the best case scenario for Great Britain, Germany and Italy.

Another hiccup in a potential German-British alliance was Austria-Hungary. Germany wanted them included in any alliance and the British did not want to be involved in propping up that ramshackle monarchy. Britain also wasn't interested in becoming an official member of the Tripple Alliance and really only wanted a defensive alliance with the Germans.

Small correction at 10:06, by the late 1800s Austria-Hungary had long renounced all serious claims to Venetia-Lombardy, and only the biggest warhawks in the Austrian government had even a notion of the idea of reconquering these states. Not only would it further exasperate internal ethnic tensions, especially considering the fact that Italy not only exists as a unified entity but these territories had also already existed under Italy. It furthermore would be unpopular among the Hungarian side of the empire, seeing it would greaty strengthen the Austrian side with minimal benifit to them. The empire at this point had long already given up projecting any power over the Italian peninsula, and had instead shifted its focus towards the Balkans.

Idea: What if Prussia took northern Sudetenland/Bohemia after the Brother’s war, destroying relations between Germany and Austria? (Italy and Germany would become close allies, Russia and Germany will have a common enemy, a cursed alliance between France and Austria can form)

I could see Austria slip from Germany's hands, or something else happen in favor of the Entente, this seems too easy peasy to be realistic. The most realistic scenario here is Entente simply never going to war against the Alliance, rather just accepting their dominance. Without having needed capacity, it is simply not worth it

I have a new what if suggestion. What if Wilhelm II had no crippled arm? Bro would probably follow after his liberal father snd british mother's instructions. This is a good way to make Germany into a Constitutional monarchy and a British ally

2:22 Parliament in Britain and Germany weren' that far off. The Reich had a legislature similar to that of GB, wherin their was the Reichstag of legislatures in the lower house that were freely elected, and the upper Federal Council. The Fed Council was like the house of lords, where the Kaiser could appoint anyone within it that he wished. Usually aristocrats that were loyal to him and his government. So, the only difference might be that slightly more power is given to the Reichstag as opposed to the Federal Council. Im taking a mod German course this semester, and we kust got done discussing the German Constitution yesterday. So this is fun!

In any case, Britain was the first naval and colonial power, they would not have allied themselves with the Germans. The latter would have been a potential colonial rival afterwards, and the British would never have tolerated an European continental power becoming too powerful. As was the case with Louis XIV or Napoleon I for France, or the Habsburg family with Spain and HRE.
