@drlogan4894

My physics teacher told me I had a lot of potential. Then he threw me off a building.

@anthonyhelms3917

I’m not afraid of heights. I’m afraid of faulty equipment.

@Wooster77

That should convince them.

Man went from bungee jumping to fishing real quick

@D_CIPHR

"So that's how I lost my bungee operating license"

@meestyouyouestme3753

I’m not afraid of heights I’m afraid of high gravitational potential energy being converted to kinetic energy and then rapidly decelerating

@jameskapaun3325

Lots of horror stories about people who should not have a bungee jumping business or do you mean if they ask that question, you will push them off a bridge.

@Hrnnnnnn

So she is a teacher , happy to hear that

@GamerBroAdalian

I'll guess based on my current understanding:
1) The tensile strength of the bungee cord, taking into consideration and height dropped, has to take into account the weight applied to equalize the sum of forces such that as the lowest point, Sigma F' is 0.
2) For every action a proportional but opposite reaction would occur depending on the elasticity of the material, equal to the force applied from the lowest point would react in Kinetic Energy from the drop to potential energy that would then be converted back into kinetic energy as the bungee cord rebounds from the lowest point. If the cord is too long, it may not adequately rebound; also could break if the weight exceeds the cord's weight class.
Lemme know if I'm right/wrong!

@kenjianimates

That is the test we just did in school this term.

@TheTroupeMasterGrimm

Physics is one of the most real world applicable subjects. Probably the most useful class I took in high school alongside something like anatomy.

@starlightyoongi7105

Wasnt this clip where the cord snapped and the guy took a dunk cause the cord not only weighed him down but also gave him injuries (he survived if im not mistaken but obviously very shaken up)

@DigitalHi5

These shorts always brighten my day!

@M0n0chr0meHue

TBH, seeing the concepts being applied to everyday life or demonstrated in interesting situations is a much better motivator than "do this problem in a textbook because you have to"

@mohamedfaraj508

That's a good example 😅

@Dogrub

Im not afraid of heights, im afraid of suddenly landing after falling at speed

@nearmaster1958

if one student wrote the full link to the video as one of the answers, that student will go somewhere.

@muhammadkhairiaimran6218

Wow, you're a physics teacher? That's so cool ☺️

@badhombre4942

Had nothing to do with physics. Someone forgot the metric / imperial conversion.
