You bring a smile to a 62 year old man who remembers the young voice of Stevie playing in a 75 Camaro. Thank you for making me a teen again… if only in a memory.
4 years later and this is still the best song cover I've ever heard, for any song. Not to mention your adorable smile bringing such happy vibes to the video.
A native of North Carolina, Lanie was born into a multi-generational family of musicians that supported her affinity for storytelling and poetry from the age of 12. In the years since, she has added her unique blend of classic Rock and Country influences as a bedrock to her lyrical craft. Having struggled to make a name for herself in music for several years, 25-year-old Lanie Gardner finally made something of a breakthrough with her cover of Fleetwood Mac's Dreams which captured international attention going viral with nearly 62 million views on youtube and claiming a spot at No. 25 on the Billboard Rock charts. Lanie then signed a record deal with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.
This is my favorite of all; this is how this song was meant to be sung! I have watched this countless of times, and will watch it countless more...Lanies grand slam moment!
I could listen to Lanie singing Dreams one million times and never get bored! Sensational!
A younger generation keeping the classics alive.... Awesome.
I'm 67 and still remember in 75 when Stevie sang this, this young lady killed it! Lovely voice like liquid velvet
Lanie, I have been in the music business for 38 years (radio) and I have a pretty good track record for spotting talent. The first time that I saw/heard your video I was blown away! I actually tried to reach out to you to see if you were signed and I found out days later that The Jonas Brothers had scooped you up. Congratulations!! For what it's worth...your voice is amazing and your rendition of "Dreams" is incredible. I understand what David Guetta and MORTEN have done with your vocals in mixing them into their song but what they are doing doesn't capture THIS!! If you aren't already in the studio recording your rendition of this song then you should be. I would be SHOCKED if it wasn't a radio hit!! Don't lose your cadence or your interpretation when you do record this...I love what you've done. Also, I have looked back at some of your earlier videos and your level of comfort and ability to work the camera has grown leaps and bounds...the growth is off the charts. The way that you play to the camera here connects with people. If you aren't already aware, you have "IT"!! Most people don't and they wish that they did. Go out and slay the world with your talent and remember to remain humble because the only thing that can get in your way now is ego. I'm not saying that you have a big ego, I don't even know you. What I'm saying is that it's ego that can kill a career. Good luck and let me know when you record "Dreams" so that I can be the first to play it on the air!! -Bryan
I met my wife when she was 16. We married at 19. That was 48 years ago. We were listening and dancing to this song back in the day. She looked as sweet and innocent as Lanie does here. Beautiful smiles and voices never grow old.
Lanie's voice is like velvet. Sultry, pitch-perfect, and soothing. Few are born with such vocal gifts.
Anyone here on June/2025 listening to this great song???
One needs to sit in silence after listening to this cover. I am awe struck. I grew up to Stevie Nicks and loved her talent and you young lady took things to another level. At 64 I am sure I am not your target demographic but none the less I am a fan. Stay grounded and continue to share your gift. The world is a brighter place with you in it.
Goosebumps, beautiful voice, so natural. No tarty clothes or makeup just pure talent.
Beautiful girl, beautiful voice, beautiful song, beautiful energy… this girl is a STAR…. May god keep u safe from Hollywood
Such a cool Tone u have. And especially sitting down well done. You have done Fleetwood Mac oroud🥰🥰🥰🥰
WOW!!! I'm 70! I heard it when it came out! This is truly AWESOME ! FEBRUARY 19, 2025
The Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice people owe this girls some serious promo bucks. She opens the video by lifting a finger to say "hold on, let me drink some of this here juice to moisten my singing voice"! Then comes the eye contact with the camera, that beautiful smile, then with seemingly effortless, natural, poise, the song begins. This is the coolest 20 second opening to any music video today. The continuation of the song, the voice, the occasional smiles are all solid and by the quick little hand gesture at the end, she knows it too. Bravo!
My mother loved Stevie Nicks. She forwarded this to me on FB. Two years later I was able to look back. This was the last thing she sent me before she passed away. The lyrics.. they will always have a special place in my heart! Lanie, thank you for your version and giving my mother something to enjoy while she was here it's absolutely breathtaking!
I can't get enough of her vibe and voice. The world needs more of this!!!
