This brought back so many memories. My wife and I used to go there 4 times a year. We walked Cliff Walk and picnic'd on Ocean Drive, same as you did. We used to stay in the beach cottages at Castle Hill and would sleep with the door open to let the sounds of waves and breeze in. Newport is really beautiful in the winter when it is snowy. If you enjoy it now, consider going there for Christmas.
