I remember seeing your Pantone challenge paintings on Instagram 2 years ago and I was so inspired! Iβm currently trying this challenge for 30 days as an introduction to gouache and itβs not easy! Iβm all the more impressed you were able to fill all 100 of these cards with such beautiful paintings β€
How on earth can anybody pick a favorite painting, out of so many beautiful ones? I certainly cannot! You have been extraordinarily brave, daring to paint on these Pantone cards. I would have lost my nerve. You achieved so much and this video has been very inspiring to watch. Thank you for sharing your successful one-year art journey!
Your challenge inspired me to make my own challenge - to fill my sketchbook with cinema scenes. I was a little scared and also didn't know what to paint in my sketchbook (I am not an artist, I just paint something from time to time). As you said, the beauty of painting is that you can escape from the reality for a few hours and try to make something that you enjoy. Your work is awesome. And thank you. πππ€
Seeing the completed results of this challenge is so inspiring, it really makes me want to go start painting immediately
These are absolutely Magnificent! I LOVE these! Especially the ones of the water and city skyline. Bless your heart and thank you so much for sharing. I am new to painting with Gouache and this is such a huge inspiration. Please keep posting I LOVE your art. πππΌβ€οΈ
8:40 regarding not creating things that you're proud of--Scott Christian Sava said in a video, that part of growing as an artist is improving your good pieces ratio. Everybody starts out making stuff that they don't like, and only hitting on stuff they like every few pieces. As you grow as an artist and your skills become easier to implement, and your knowledge of composition and color and design becomes second nature, it's much easier to create pieces you're proud of.
Congrats on completing the challenge! 2:38 they both look so good π I love 3:17, 12:05, 13:14, 17:49 too. I also really like when the shiny postcard print peeks through in the paintings
Omg your art is just beautiful! Frankly, I don't think even beautiful does it justice but it'll certainly do. Seeing your progress and improvement throughout this challenge really inspired me to maybe start painting without fear of mistakes, because it's simply just part of the process. Now, you asked for favourites which was very hard for me to narrow down, so these are some I would buy for my room, but i have many more faves! Pantone 5405 (3:25) Pantone 485 (10:33) Pantone 414 (11:56) Pantone 152 (14:52) Pantone cool grey 7 (15:50) Pantone 13-0645 (19:07) Thankyou if you read this ππ¦ πΈ
yea this really helps with broadening your color choices, they always tell you to do "small painting exercise with whatever subject you want" and this is just perfect, your paintings really inspire me I might buy the set too and try π€£ I really liked the koi fish! the original shiny background was really fitting, also bottle green and bright violet! those two really caught my eyes by the end, of course you can see the huge improvement just so soo inspiring so soo pretty ππππ
The bottle green with cactuses looks like a photo. That is very good!
What a lovely collection! The ones that I loved best were the record player, the stormy sky with lightning, and the cactus flower Pantone near the end.
Iβm definitely a fan of the lemon painting it looks more like something youβd find in an art museum
Well I watched and listened to the end. I have watched a few videos on these Pantone painting challenge and wasnβt all sure to do it or not. After watching your beautiful paintings and listening to your thoughts I think I will try it believing it will help to improve my art while trying to do it on a daily (or almost dailyβ¦3-5 days a week if my time allows). Thank-you for posting! π
This is such a cute project,I loved all the pink sunset painting and the coffee one at the end...I'll try to paint atleast some of these
wow your card set is amazing, I love the flower field, lemons..., and the strawberrys look so great, I would have liked to eat it π
It was really lovely to see how your skills have developed over this time. And yes to talking about Unsplash! I feel like a broken record sometimes and always mention it as well whenever I can but it's just so important to use images with consent or when you know that they're royalty free anyway. I always love your landscape paintings - for some reason I always associate your art with these gorgeous nature scenes so I would have to say that those are my faves from this bunch as well.
