Sounds like a deflationary spiral is incoming for Switzerland. Back when I visited when I was a child, (my mom is from Zurich) I remember getting 2 Swiss Franc's for $1. Now its 1 for 1. If you look at rents in Zurich and the prices of real estate, prices are in bubble territory and have been for years. This next deflationary crash is going to be world wide and pop these bubbles.
The whole thing is about currency - when I used to go my grandfather would give me 5 francs and I felt so rich - it was a whole pound - now I would get around 4 pounds for the same 5 francs so it’s not the Swiss but us - it’s simply a loss of our pound value. So their inflation has been glacial over my lifetime compared with most places.
At least they didn't impose their own economic sanctions like the Brits.
It's insane how much wrong information is in this video. Don't even know where to start. Plus you have no macroeconomic knowledge and just tell the first thing that comes to your mind. I'll start with the signs at the airport zurich: Everything is written in english, a simplr google image search will help you. What you are telling are the official national languages. We have 4 btw The GDP per capita (PPP(Purchase power parity)) is 88k. In the UK it's 59k (source wikipedia) Then you compara a balance sheet with a GDP of a country. Sounds interesting but makes zeros sense since the GDP is per year where as the balance sheet ar e assets/liabilities and equity. I could go on and on but you get the point. The video is made nice but the content is wrong and missleading Cheers
It would appreciated thank you
We have the highest human development index in the world but yeah Switzerland is definitely bad... (Not saying we're perfect tho)
a coffee is around 5pounds
We are doing fine. But thanks anyway. (In any case moving to Switzerland is not really an option any more, post-Brexit, so no need to get a headache).
