Apart from the volcano threat, Greece has a Magnitude 8+ earthquake every 600 or so years. The last one was in 1303. It is very likely another mega earthquake is close.

@kgraham5820

There’s no disguise about it! I believe the activity is a prelude into something much bigger in the not so distant future. These are warning quakes for the folks in the area to get outta the way!

@shemo_ghoul

Powerful imagery πŸ‘πŸΌ And I love it that you explained it like I’m five. I’ve tried several other videos but didn’t stitch. Finally, I can understand 😊

The Tsunami that is responsible for the Minoan Civilization exstinction was 250m in height and was running 300km\h .Santorini today is the 1/3 of what it was 3600 years before..there was a volcanic mountain on this island that exploded so hard and now you can find olive oil tree leaves in Greenland It, exploded so hard that created a caldera 300m in depth and lashed out the whole mountain that was on it.sry for my english im from Greece

@dkbebe-o4q

hello from Greece. I would definitely pack and go, I cannot understand how peoplehave remained on the islands this week

@edithaquino-js4pf

I have lived in the Philippines - geographical location is the ring of Fire in the Pacific. Philippines has 24 active volcanos and 355 inactive volcanos. This means Philippines has under gone volcano, earthquake & tsunami disaster and it happens all at the same. This therefore makes the Filipinos always ready to move, evacuate or leave areas that are subject to these natural disaster. Greeks should take heed as these natural disasters could cause an enormous damage to all. 18:11

Silly curiosity! In a healthy manner!

@jonnyjaywick

"Whats the takeaway ?" It could blow tomorrow. It could blow again in 500 years. We just dont know.

@jamesalec1321

A possible scenario is Santorini could erupt like Hunga Tonga 2.0, where water vapor is injected into the atmosphere to a point of 13% or more atmospheric moisture than currently exists, which could lead to weather anomolies or farming interruptions, and floods for a couple of years because it has to come down someplace.

@melina6912

Hello from Greece !!! It has luckily calmed down !

@panathaninf

I went to santorini some years ago, jawdropping experience. Bloody volcano was putting out gasses even back then ! Hope nothing dangerous occurs

@cbf63

The fabric of the earth is a complex thing

@Harry_Chatz

Hello from Greece, just the other day Santorini had more than 13 earthquakes in a single day and all above a Magnitude of 4 with the most powerful ones exceeding Magnitude 5. Many houses and hotels etc were destroyed and many people have already left the island. Santorini with the 4 nearest island had even schools closed for safety reasons with scientists estimating that bigger earthquakes might come that will exceed the magnitude of 6 but they are hopeful about not having an eruption.

@anjahoeck9428

Can you imagine all the constructial damage after all these quakes

@hellomoto4906

Been a lot of volcanic areas on earth having earthquakes and weird signs….

@carolhartley5982

The history, well, prehistory really, tells you that it's not conjecture that anyone on the Island is above a volcano; now anyone there is definitely on top of a volcano.

@walther7147

Now, todays there are unmisunderstandable signs from the volcano.
