@marlonabbas8171

There's literally nothing weird about this rules is just a matter of common sense and education

@hitorishounen

I'd sleep in train if there would be no noise cuz I'm obsessed with 200x volume

@arbitration2481

These are definitely culture norms, but the reasoning is pretty wrong.

Using phones on the train isn't about people being exhausted, it is just rude to be noisy and bother other people.

The chairs in front of restaurants shouldn't be used, but they won't get mad, if they even notice they'll ask if you're a waiting customer. If not they might ask you to leave.

And taxis won't deny you service for trying to open/close the door. They'll just ask you not to do that, especially closing. A lot of that is just to keep drunk people from getting out before they pay accidentally. Never seen or heard of anyone being denied service for doing it accidentally tho. Also, if you try to close the door, it basically works like a bus door with a child safety lock. It won't fully close so it can damage the latch.

@Xaviee_here

~after few years of living in Japan then went to America~

~taxi driver pulls up~

~just standing wait~

driver: what are you doing?
Person: aren't you going to open the door?
Driver: hell no get your ass in your lucky i even pulled in here

@xCrossx7539

Taxi's might still do that in USA it use to be standard in the US. Last 3 rides i had they opened it.

@reishi62

That's not weird, that's discipline.

@tavismckenzie2679

Japan is no different then any other country. They have their share of immigrants and people will do what they want.

@rickhenkes-ek7wf

Cool🎉😂

@maxu0

1. you can call on the train just talk quietly
2. true
3. usually but not always

@rasmusdrongesen2721

The part with the train is weird.
There is a reason why most other countries have quiet carriages.
Thats for those who want to take a nap or need peace to work.

@MHound-t9o

I would love to go to Japan 😭 have wanted to since I was a kid. It jus looks like such a beautiful, tidy, respectful country full of honour. The people there also look proud to be Japanese and proud of their country!

@Juganka_Hazarika

Japan is just a heaven for the introverts 😂

@owenwexler7214

That first one isn't weird, it's basic respect.

@devilsnevercry22

The train thing is 100% accurate.theyre so silent which I LOVE. It's like noisy teens don't exist. Most people are playing app games or reading manga tbh

@fuzzly_22

you can talk on the train but you should keep it to a minimum and only do so if nessecery

@RED--01

The chairs on restaurant is in china since dawn of time.
I wish the subway were also silent

@JoseAyikon

The Thumbnail got me here

@Laconic-Spartan-GRE

The Taxi can be seen as, "Rude" but what's the case when he leaves altogether? Isn't "'Rude" as well? More so, I'd say.

@XHunter442

I love the music!

@Nimela_fin

If im In japan and someone calls me i answer and say ill call back and cant speak now
