Props to him not ripping of his customers👍🏻
Great video, it's surprising just how good AMD integrated graphics has become for 1080p gaming. The 8600G is a GOAT in this class, although even the non-G chips from the 7000 and 9000 series are half decent for 1080p gaming on older titles (8+ years old). Some great progress.
We are (supposedly) getting the 9000G CPUs at the end of the year, APUs may get more exciting with that launch
It's Zack's fault I got convinced in getting an NZXT H6 FLOW. I love this thing so much. I had my doubts over the stock fans that come with only to realize their push in a lot of air. I love the view and makes cable management so easy. Never switching out of cases EVER
I actually built an astonishingly close rig to this for my grandma recently believe it or not. Gave her an 8600g and that same case except it was all white. She loved it! Edit: She doesn’t use it for gaming, just wanted something a lil beefy for occasional photo/video editing on 1440p monitor i gave her
The small case caught my attention and now am seriously considering switching over, thanks Zack
No GPU build around this time. Gee Zack, such a rare time it might make save like crazy to finally have a proper system
Thank you for this review. I'm building with this case, mb and apu for my dad. All seem like great value pieces with room to expand.
I was just looking into integrated graphics! Perfect timing
im using this cpu and its really good for budget, I can stream hoyo games like genshin impact just using 8600G
the GPU Shortage is real 😢
When building a computer for yourself or for friends or family, knowing what the use case is for each build is very important so you don't overspend or over-build. For some people, an APU might be all they need. Especially if they're just going to be doing basic stuff like surfing the web, YouTube, and Office applications. No need to spend hundreds of dollars on a GPU just to give them a display output. I built my wife a PC for her office last year. She's going to be doing absolutely no gaming at all. Just surfing the web and using Microsoft Office apps. So I went with a Ryzen 5 APU. It gives her just what she needs and we saved a ton by not having to buy a graphics card. It's important to know your customer and their specific needs before you start any build.
Honestly in my case being an older senior gamer, I would rather go with an igpu AMD CPU for my everyday use desktop. I only game on an Xbox series X. I never gained on PCs. And don't plan to. I ordered a gaming PC last Summer and only use it for everyday things like my photography, movies, and music and everything else that's considered general use on a PC. It's a mid-range gaming PC.
I just built in an A3 about a week ago (not necessarily from ground up, just a case swap), and I'm planning to use my old case for an APU build. The timing of this video is kinda neat lmao
This is actually great idea. I am trying to build PC and it is really hard to get GPU for a good price, especially in the country where I'm from and also the shipment is not easy either. Thanks again for great video.
Nice one! The radeon 760m would perform better than 1050ti. Currently the ryzen 9 395max has the best igpu, and performs like 4060 laptop. So there is still massive improvement but only on mobile chipsets, not desktops unfortunately. Another good one is ryzen 9 370hx and intel ultra 9 185h. Or desktop ultra 7 265k. They have similar igpus that perform like a 1070laptop or 1650 super or 3050 laptop. They are decent improvements. You could have used the intel apu if you could spend 300$-ish on the cpu.
I have an 8600G and it runs games up to the PS3 era really well, some PS4 ones and any modern indie too on its own but I've got a 3070 a few weeks ago and I played Expedition 33 and now Indiana Jones. It's a great PC, I'm really happy with it.
the a3 is my favourite pc case of all time, love to see it
I am an older gamer from the boomer generation. I have built several systems over the years. I played WoW extensively but became disenchanted with the constant hardware requirements to play with higher settings. I have not built a system in years, and the last one used Windows Vista. I am a AMD fan, but let me tell you, getting older, it is harder to stay current with technology changes. I do not need a NASA compatible system, but what are you all using as a brand favorite and or CPU/GPU?
