The Weaknesses do nothing outside of implanting the Weakness, Silver Wolf shreds Defense by I believe 54%.

@lordsalt7595

For everyone who doesn't know and understand, which is apparently, a LOT of people, Anaxas in his base kit does NOT debuff elemental resistances or buff pen res in any way or form.

For example, this means that if you are to implant ice weakness to a enemy for your Herta, she'll still do the exact same damage as before the enemy had the ice weakness planted. Because it doesn't affect the enemy's ice res.

When you use a character against an enemy that is weak to that character's element, by nature, you have more resistance penetration against said enemy. That's how it works. But with Anaxas, you are not making that foe more weak to that element. The only thing you gain, is the ability to inflict break now because of said weaknesses. Yes, Anaxas can debuff enemy def, but it's mainly just for himself unless you go for his LC and E1. And even then, def shred is NOT the same as debuffing the enemy's res. It's not up until E2 that Anaxas gets 20% pen res globally.

This problem doesn't happen with Silver Wolf, because Silver Wolf actually DOES debuff res in her base kit even if it's a small quantity with her traces.

So yeah, Anaxas's ability to implement weaknesses is essentially useless unless you plan on using him on a break team or make him use specific relic sets. If you aren't, it's easily the weakest part of his kit. If you do manage to break the enemy, you'll deal 10% more damage to them, but on teams that aren't the break team, it'll hardly be noticeable. It's huge for APO even so, but it's not as exaggerated as people think it is. It's more useless than useful honestly. Castorice's 20% pen res with her dragon basically does double what the entire gimmick of Anaxas does. And that's counting breaking the enemy. Not to mention, that enemies last broken a relatively short time unless you're running a break team.

@sleather5899

Oh, the irony, silver wolf started the power creep slope with the weakness implant mechanic, and now she gets to watch everyone do it as she becomes obsolete in the process.

@Peachie_404

RIP Silver Wolf, you were always my fave dps...
