Canon?

@neutralearth1061

Excellent Video! Thanks!!
We are a couple of old school guys that have been creating and recording together since 1972!
Now we live in different states and use two TASCAM DP-32's in our home recording studio's to record our original music by sending SD cards back and forth (I said we were old school) then we post it on our YouTube channel. We do it for fun and keeping our friendship alive despite the miles between us. We even made a video showing our songwriting and recording process.

@AnonymousUser805

Brother, you going to make me watch every video. "this next video is going to help you with lyrics even more!" (5x)

Been writing lyrics for 35 years. It's a gift that just flows through you. True lyricists are like channels from the Universe, a talent you can not create but yes you can hone some skills. One good companion is a rhyming dictionary for the missing spots. Can't quite figure out what you're trying to say here. A canon is a repeating line in music. You mighta coulda explained that term for starters. The one grain of value I find here is the advice to use sensory images.

@bryonblank4365

That wasn’t my experience at all. The canon method really resonated with me. It means to identify what is important in the universe of the topic you are writing about and think of only those details that support and reinforce the core concepts values. I think his video is pretty self evident. Very useful . I constantly commit the crime Putting too many details in , and only skimming the surface while going off on tangents. Failing to recognize that every line should support and or advance the core meaning of the song. And in a pop song that is absolutely critical

@johnnymeeks

Such an improvement, now I can say that you’re kinda underrated…

@daPWNisher123

Always great advice, appreciate you making these videos. Have a blessed day friend 🤙

@jodiescott01

WOW. Your style of tutorials have drawn me in and they're incredibly easy to follow. Subscribed.
Kindly, can you give me some advice in starting out to write vocals for house music and melodic techno, please? I have a decent background in music production and basic theory. Brand new to writing lyrics and vocal melodies though.
