Something I found interesting about citrus is that the show constantly gives the main characters better love interest and people to surround themselves with and yet every time this happens the main characters always end up choosing eachother despite having a toxic relationship at many points in the series. You are also right about the show romanticising sexual a**alt and it's kind of disgusting
But overall I do think that it is an amazing show with a unique concept and art style

@MTAAGEE

dude your voice is so soothing

“Especially for all humans who have never had such a thing💀” bro called me out

I just finished the anime, and I think this story is great! Each character is well-written and interesting. ❤😊 Mei and Yuzu’s relationship is unique, just like the other characters in the story. Mei is more misunderstood as a character—she hides her true feelings behind a cold exterior, struggling to express what she really wants. Meanwhile, Yuzu, who is more open and expressive, still finds herself unsure of the right words when it comes to Mei. It’s like they’re both reaching out to each other but don’t always know how. Their dynamic makes the story even more engaging—just like how we, as humans, sometimes struggle with words or get confused by our emotions. There are times when we don’t truly understand what we feel and end up saying something completely different🫶🏻✨💗

I never expected you to do a short on Citrus, so this was such a nice surprise. Citrus is a pretty special series to me. I watched the anime as it was airing, and it was one of the first times I could remember that a character in any media really struck a cord with me. I have had some issues with my father for many years, so seeing Mei deal with her father issues hit REALLY close to home for me. It definitely gave me some solace to see that plot play out in the first six episodes.

Aside from that, I really like the series. Yes - the beginning can be rough, with how Mei and Yuzu interact with each other, but I think the author does a good job of making those bad instances feel uncomfortable. I love that Mei and Yuzu want a good relationship, and we get to see them go through character development as the series goes on. (A lot of my favorite moments happen in the manga, after the point at which the anime stops 🤣)

Anyway - is it a perfect series? No. But, it will always have a special place in my heart. :)

I will never understand why citrus is hated by so many. Throughout the whole show we see a constant try between the two characters to understand each other and their feelings, and because they're inexperienced in relationships and mei is definitely also depressed, they usually make the wrong decisions. But in the end, when they sort their feelings out, they have the most adorable relationship ever, that is based on trying to respect each other and pure love. This anime is great not only because it's yuri, but also because we have to do with complexed characters and feelings. Do people just want to watch all the time the same boring story with adorable characters that are blushing all the time and they just dont know how to confess or maybe something like adachi to shimamura which honestly looks more like yuri bait than actual yuri, even if the manga is said to be yuri? I dont understand 😂

@jackgerambo

Yeah, So happy to see people understand Yuzu&Mei relationship that well. I keep watching and reading Citrus again and again. It's really a good, interesting and life's problem type story. I think those who understand citrus are the people who can relate with the characters. Thank you for your video !

@ErmWhatTheSigma147

It’s very underrated too, I love the anime, although it’s sad at some points it’s really enjoyable

Good video!

@KeyboardTarantula

the SA is obviously excused by the fact that they don't know better. it's like, one of the main points.

@emilkakordulska8339

i love yuzu and mei

@baebyrbunny

Whatever people say about citrus doesn't matter. It always stays in people's top 5 anime list . There must be a reason for that. Some people gets triggered with their step sis connection. They are not even blood related. Personally i love this anime. It is in my top 3 all time fav anime. Love doesn't know age and bounderies and that's how it should. The reason siblings relationship is not right due to future biological damage in kids. Here they are step sis with no blood relation ,not even far away relative way blood comection and on top of it they are lesbian/bi. So i dk why people are so triggered by it.💀🙃

@Nu-Wa

Just finished manga and + version, i just wanna tell that imma wait for that naughty scene till i die

@zeshoko

Thank you. I have been really annoyed at some anime fans that make such a big deal out of something that is purely for entertainment purposes.

@trollplant

I just read the first chapter of the manga and I highly doubt it's misunderstood, that shit weird as hell.

And I'm probably going to continue reading😅

@VelaryonVy

Im watching this like over and over again tho

@Ichoosetobehappylols

Can somone educate me on this? I have watched citrus and I don’t understand where the SA is,I overall thought it was very nice but also very.. strange in a way. I had never experienced an anime like this and it made me very curious why I felt this way,but that feeling made me love this anime even more because of the depth of it that I still don’t understand . I even cried multiple times during the series bc this was a truly unique type of romance , considering its step sisters .. so can yall educate me on it PLEASE?
