Me: Just letting the paint dry and peeling it of after I’m done 💀

@andtipidee

Quick note that the water brush does not allow you to control the amount of water you apply to your painting. The water amount is crucial for most watercolor artists, so just a heads up! But if you don’t mind, or just want to play around with watercolors, the water brush is a good tip nonetheless.

@PoisonousPJs

For anyone who just want to know how to draw two perfect eyes, just draw them at the same time. Thats how they usually get pretty similar, and thats how most artists do it. Also, if you use acrylic paint, its really easy to peel it off after a while of using them, for example, when the whole pallet is covered with acrylic paint. 👍

Digital artists: I don't have such a weakness

@jubblebubbles

if you’re using acrylic paint then I recommend just not cleaning it for long periods of time - the paint dries and you can just refill right on top of it. this is what I ended up doing for my painting class in highschool, leaving my pallet uncleaned for 2 years. it didn’t just cut down on time and water, but it also makes for a lot of fun when you get to peel off the big chunk of paint once you do finally clean it, all in one piece, and then you can just start all over again

@SepticShockAKAVin

Ah yes, the hack of turning a reusable paint pallete that reduces waste into a single-use wasteful version.

@kyliegracejohnstone2417

That eye thing is so much effort when I could just make an Emo hair cut with a mask so I don’t have to draw the mouth either

@Zippy15

A lot of these hacks that are intended for 'lazy days' are actually really helpful for disabled people. There was a long time where I couldn't really do much art because I just physically wasn't able to do the set-up and clean-up. Tips like these are so helpful 👌

@Ashesinthesky

The last one works. You just have to be an expert at measuring that hack has saved my life!!!!

@-Goi-

For those who aren't artists, the last technique is called Graphite Transferring. Its actually pretty common, I don't know why it's listed as a "lazy hack" when artists do it all the time.

"Instead of cleaning your pain packets for every 5 seconds .... Become a digital artist" I thought she was gonna say this help 😭

@sweets2ar

Am I the only one who loves dirty paint pallets… it’s just something abt them 😻

@annieisntreal8866

my paint palette has 3 years worth of acrylic paint on it and I just keep adding more.

one day it will be the most satisfying peel

@Tantarii

Please don't create plastic waste just for being too lazy to wash your palette. I use old tiles with glazing on them as my palettes, since they can just be cleaned after painting with brushing. I've used the same tile for years now and I'm not a gentle washer, and it'a still as good as new and nothing sticks on it permanently.

@commie_dog_boy

id actually recommend getting plexiglass pallets so u can do the scrapies afterwards and it produces less waste overall
